Great! I can still blog. I had some problem signning in man. Forgotten my gmail password cos i dun use that email. Hahaha.... Whatever the case, i shall update whoever that still reads my blog (i doubt anyone does). But well i will start asking everyone who's as free as me to start visiting my boring blog.

Firstly, I changed job. Ha... Helping mum run her hotel now. Its called Hotel Tavern, located at 16 Carpenter Street. So, anyone who has frens who are visiting Singapore and needs a hotel room, feel free to contact me!! Website is currently not up yet but will be done soon. When completed i will leave the link here...

Basically the hotel is relatively new so there are many things to be done to allow business to be up and going. Sometimes when my staff are busy i will have to be stationed at the reception and that is when it gets really boring. So, i got to find things to self-entertain myself... Hence, im starting to do things that i normally dont do!

1. Play PSP.
2. Listen to music.
3. Blog.
4. Play viwawa.
5. Walk around aimlessly.

etc.... etc... etc...

That's for my working life. Secondly, for my love life, yes i am attached (as usual i know). But well this time i believe it will be different. I just know it will be. I have some photos which i will upload soon! Hee...

Hahaha.... Ok i feel retarded blogging now... I dunno why. Anyway, i decided to blog since i've just changed job and at times im SUPER bored la.... Nothing better to do... Just face the computer and stone. And that's precisely what im going thru now... Can you imagine... Bored to the extent of starting to blog again...

Anyway if this post is successful, maybe i will start blogging again. Remind me of the times when i was in states.... Can help to improve my typing skills and command of english too.... Hee...

Life in LA...

Whao time sure flies. In a blink of the eye, im almost at the finishing lap of my race here in the US. Cant believe that i have been here for 4 months already. It felt just like yesterday that i was still all hyped up about this trip to the US. And now, im all excited to go back to my hometown; to my comfort zone - Singapore. I would say i have had the best moments, as well as some worst moments during my stay here in the US. But on the whole, it was a very enriching experience and im realli glad that i came here. Being here all alone really opened up my perspective taught me how to be a much more independent girl.

I gained alot of valuable insights to the american culture and how they view life. Very much different from how Singaporeans lead their lives. I guess the Singaporean lifestlye is way more competitive and hectic. Of course, another major difference is the food here. I love and hate american food. Love because im a burger lover and being here means burger all the way... Hate it because all the burgers have now transformed me into real life burger. I guess my friend's prediction of me transforming into a Big Mac when i return to Singapore has came true.

I have been very depressed over this fact of me gaining weight. As much as i tell myself not to think too much about it coz there is no point thinking of something I dun have control over now, i simply cant help it. I gained almost 8kg here... Yes... I hate to admit it but that is the fact and i have to learn to face it. I will give myself 3 months to go jogging at least 5 times a week, go to the gym for classes, go rollerblading with eugene, and eat realli healthly. I know i will be able to do it and this is a challenge i got to face. EVERYONE PLEASE SUPPORT ME OK!

Im trying to be as positive about it as possible so i need moral support. Weight issue has always been a big thing for me and now, i weigh the heaviest in my life. I know i will and i can get back to my original frame but that will take time. Dr Kashain has been helping me by tellin me what i should do and being my moral support. Thank you! Dr Kashain quoted: "There is no short cut; there is no easy way out. You have to do it the hard way." He also said, "The easier u achieve something, the easier it is to lose it too." So, i will heel his advice, be strong, realli set my mind to workout, and adopt a healthy lifestyle =)

A week in New York...

I had the best of times during my stay here in the US. I decided to go back to New York for another tour coz i like the place alot... And i got along very well with Kashain. So, i got on the 5 hrs flight and flew back to New York! I reached on tues noon and Kashain came to pick me up after his work. We headed back home and Uncle and Auntie treated me with much much hospitality! They were sooo nice and warm. Auntie made spaghetti with meatballs and some vegetables for me. Uncle, Kashain and me had a veri nice chat over 2 bottles of wine.

The next day, Kashain and me took a train to Rockefella centre at 5th ave. The other time when i came during thanksgiving, the tree wasnt totally built up but now, it was realli nice and pretty. On top of that, it was snowing!! I love the snow... I went to the cartier flagship store coz my mummy wanted me to get a watch belt for her. Whao the cartier store was super luxurious and glam. With lifts and perfect lightings, u feel like u are a princess when u are inside. And of course, it comes wif a price! The watch strap cost USD$200 lor! So ex... We then shopped around before stoppin to admire the tree...

After reaching home, Kashain and i went to the gym to workout. I got a 1 week pass for the gym that kashain goes to all the time. It was a veri nice workout. Hee Kashain has a veri nice body.... Not too muscular but yet distinct enough. I will be as disciplined as him!!! Wait till i go back to Singapore... We then went to the supermarket to get some nuts which we ate and chatted wif uncle again...

The next day morning, uncle and auntie brought me to have dim sum. Oh it was so so nice! I loved it... Uncle and auntie are simply sooo nice to me. Im realli grateful to them.

After the dim sum, we went to hongkong supermarket to buy some groceries so auntie can cook. Kashain and I decided to go on a road trip to Niagara falls so auntie packed alot of food for us. She was soo cute... I learnt to make some realli delicious and healthy thai salad which i can make for my mummy when i got back to singapore. Before we left, we had 2 big bags of food which auntie packed for us to eat along the way... Sweet of her. She also gave me an envelop which says Merry christmas and inside was USD $100.... I was like sooo touched la...

It was a long long tideous ride. We left aroung 5pm and we stopped somewhere along the way at bout 2am. We were in the car for almost 7.5 hours la!!! But well it didnt felt that long coz Kashain and I were conversing all the while in the car. So, we stopped in Buffalo for a night... The next day, we set off for niagara falls which was about another hours drive from where we were...

Finally~!!! We reached Niagara falls... The view was beautiful. I had been to niagara falls 8 years ago but that time i was at the canada side and tis time i was at the new york side... i had a better view of the american falls...

It was snowing heavily and together with the wind, it was coooollllddd. I had to pull my hoodie up coz the snow keep hitting on my face and its super cold.

Hee sooo cute rite. I had to put on my sunglass coz the snow keep going into my eyes and i couldnt open my eyes.

This was the niagara falls. Suppose to be shapped like a horseshoe. But i couldnt realli see it coz its winter time and veri misty.

We took a trolley ride which took us around the area to goat island. It was nice and warm inside.The bus driver was very nice to allow us to drop off some points to take some photos. Maybe coz its winter and there wasnt much tourist there. In fact at a point there was onli mi and kashain on the trolley.

We watched a show over there which talks bout some of the historical facts of niagara falls and how people attempt to fall over the falls etc. It was funni and interesting. I also went to hardrock cafe to get some souvenir.

Holiday INN!! The room was sooo nice. Hee i love it. For this trip, Kashain and i split the cost such tat i pay hotel fees and he pay for gas. the rest we kinda split here and there. I dun wan him to pay coz i feel veri bad liaoz =) But it was all good. We met up with AJ and Adrain, who are Kashain's frens. AJ is one of Kashain's best fren and they graduated from the New York College of Chiropractic. Adrain is currently still taking the doctor degree in the college.

We went to this italian restaurant for dinner where Kashain had his graduation dinner at. Gosh i swear the portion of pasta that they gave me was the biggest biggest in my entire life. I bet it can feed 5 people. When i saw it i was like: Wha kaoz.... They had too much pasta is it... So anyway i think i ate like 10% of it and packet the rest of it. We headed back to the hotel and had some wine before headin off to a local bar. I had a fantastic night.

The next day, Kashain and I went to the outlet mall where i bought a samsonite luggage. I have to prepare to pack my things which i bought here in the US. Theres so much of them i dunno how to bring them back. Luckily my parents are coming over. If not im screwed.

We also went to wineries for wine tasting. This is my first time doing wine tasting and it was realli nice. I like the ambience of many of the wineries. We bought a dozen of wine coz uncle wanted it. Before heading home we stopped over at where Kashain stayed during his doctor degree days and his landlord was realli nice to give us a bottle of wine too. I realli loved where he used to stay. It faces the lake and theres a dock where they can dive and go jetskiing during summer. Kashain and his ex gf stayed there and he had a jetski back then and they would travel to the other part of the lake occasionally. So romantic...

When we got home, it was like 1am liaoz. But auntie had prepared alot of food for us so we ate some food and chatted with uncle for abit before crashing in. Way too tired.

The next day moring, kashain brought me to buy junior's cheesecake, which is one of the most famous cheesecake in brooklyn, new york.

As much as i hated to leave, i had to. Time flies so fast i couldnt believe it. I had so much fun over the week. Im gonna miss everything.

Clubbing at Mood

Whao i haven went clubbing for such a long time. Funnily, before i came to LA, everyone was telling me that i would go crazy clubbing here; getting to know guys... etc. But frankly speaking, i really club very seldom here. Definitely less than 10 times. Not that i dun want to or i dun enjoy, its just that i dun have the chance to! No car and no friends to ask me out clubbing. Im definitely going to go Dragonfly and Zouk and THE LABYRINTH when i get back to Singapore. Miss those places and those friends to hang out with so much...

Anyway i went clubbing at Mood 2 times this week, on thurs and sat. These pictures were taken on Thurs. I realised that i dun have much time to spend with my roomies anymore. Next week im gonna go to New York to tour again for the whole week. The week that i come back i got midterms till the next week. And a day after my midterms my parents are coming liaoz. So basically i dun have time to hang out with them anymore! So, we decided to go clubbing alot this week. Mood on thurday is Asian night and i realli had alot of fun. It was practically all asians la. Kookkik's very rich guy fren, Jay, booked a table. Kaoz one bottle of Blacklabel is like USD$360 la... Crazy... Luckily not i pay. Hahaha

Anyway i LOVE this picture to the core. I realli dunno why i look so slim that day. Its like all the pictures i take make me look so slim, even my face didnt seem that round. It weird how i look so different in pictures in a days difference. And yes... I did got picked up on both days! Haha this mean that although i gain alot of weight, im still attractive! Thank god...

Kookkik's birthday is the 25th Nov so her mother called auntie to ensure that her precious daughter had a birthday cake. Kookkik's mother realli dotes on her lot. Joy and I didnt follow the rest of them to Soho coz we were too tired from Black Friday Shopping. Hence, we decided to stay home to rest and recuperate. When the rest of them came back, auntie had the cake and food arranged nicely on the table =)

Black Friday!!

It's Black Friday; A day where advent shoppers like me go crazy! Hahaha but well i wasnt as bad as Jay, Jill and Bens. These 3 crazy people went to Apple to queue the night b4. Haha it was so funni coz they thought that there would be big discount so they were at apple at 12 midnight. End up they didnt buy anything at all. After that they went to queue at Best Buy, an electric appliance store. There were like 100 pplin queue at that time la! End up they nearly froze to death. For me, Joy, Kookkik and Arm, we woke up at bout 330am and set off bout 5am. We reached H&M at 545am and there were some ppl queuing the store already.

When the store opened the door, Joy and I were literally pushed in. Its like the people behind juz pushed their way as if the clothes were free or what la...

After shoppin at H&M, we separated and KK joined Jay and Ben while me and Joy shopped together. I bought some clothes but i didnt buy as much as i expect i would buy =) At bout 3pm me and Joy were totally drained. The shoppin bags were so heavy so we decided to go home to put down the stuff and rest. So, we headed home and took a nap. At nite, auntie cooked dinner for us. After dinner, we went to Empire State. It is a buiding which is like 106 storeys high and u pay to go up and look at the whole of Europe. It was sooo beautiful BUT waaaayy too cold. At ground level it was already like 0 degree celcius so when we were up there, u can imagine how cold it is.

I had alot alot alot of fun that night. Ha was pretty drunk coz we drank so much! I chatted and danced with Kashain the whole night... Hee.

Authentic Thanksgiving Dinner

This was the first time in my life that i had a real authentic thanksgiving dinner and it was really awesome. I think that when i go back to singapore, i will want to have thanksgiving dinner on a yearly basis. Apparently, thanksgiving is a very big thing here is the US and every year during thanksgiving week, there will be holidays in school and work so that people can travel back to their homes. Thanksgiving is actually a day when u stop what u are doing in life and give thanks to those around u.

Actually i felt realli bad coz i was the one who asked auntie whether her family has the habit of celebrating thanksgiving with turkey and stuff. Then she said that sometimes they do and if we wan to have dinner together she will cook a bigger turkey for all of us. So, i was very excited and i told her that i realli want to learn how to bake a turkey so that i can actually bake it for my family. However, she baked it with her family the night before till like 4 am. It takes like 6 hours to bake the turkey and every 30 mins u need to pour the sauce over the turkey. In short its realli tideous to bake the turkey.

Im realli thankful to Kookkik's uncle's family. They have been so nice to host and provide us with a roof over our heads. And they even went the extra mile to prepare such a sumptous thanksgiving dinner for us. I realli like their family as they give me the love anf family warmth which i had missed so much.

OOOOO Look at the food... We had mashed potatoe with home made sauce, stuffings (this was the best!), turkey, cranberry sauce to put on the turkey (the cranberry realli taste good with the turkey), some vegetable, sweet potato, ham, as well as pecan pie.

Auntie and Kashain. Kashain is auntie's younger son. He's 28 this year and he's a doctor specializing in chiropractice. Hee i think he's realli cute and very intelligent. He sat beside me during the dinner (heee muz be he thought i was cute too... hahahaha) and we chatted alot.

Thanksgiving Macy's Parade

Firstly, let me wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving (Hee i know this is super late but then this blog was supposed to be written back then so juz take it tat i wrote it that day.) Oh my god i couldnt believe that i actually woke up sooo early to go to this super Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. And i cant believe there were sooo many other stupid people like me who actually woke up early to go to the parade. I think half the population of New York was there la. There were like SO MANY people! We woke up like around 5 plus in the morning and manage to get there around 8am. The parade starts at 9am but there were already alot of people queuing so as to get a good spot to see the parade better. This parade is something like Spore's Chingay Festival. I realli think it wasnt anything too fantastic. Juz alot of balloons and bands parading the street for like an hour plus.

After viewing the museum we had clam chowder soup and hotdog buns outside the museum, sitting on the steps. So kelian hor!! But the soup was very nice!

We then walked to a very beautiful park: Central Park. We took a slow stroll down the park, looking at people jogging or taking a stroll too. I really admire some people. Its like so cold yet they can just wear one tshirt or even a singlet and jog. Sibei power lor... If me i doubt i can even walk la... Frozen...

I 3 couples taking wedding shots there at central park. Apparently it is very common coz central park has very scenic view. So i took a sneak shot of this couple. The poor bride muz be freezing. And its funni how the bridesmate wear their gown with jackets. Dun match la!

At nite, we went to fifth avenue for some shopping. It was veri nice... Veri nice to shop! Haha but then i didnt buy much yet coz im conserving for black friday! (for those who dunno, black fridday is the day after thanksgiving where they will be major discounts and shops open as early as 4am, and retarded people start queuing as early as the night b4) Ha sounds like Donut Factory to me...

Oh we also went to Madison square garden where the most major events are held at. I dun see anything fancy about it but everyone says that it is very grand blablabla....

New York City Day 1

Whao! New York is freezing... The temperature is about 0 degress celcius to bout 8 degree celcius i guess.... Anyway i went to many places today =) After arriving in nyc early in the morning, we proceeded straight to kookkik's uncle's place to drop our luggages and then set off to tour. Kookkik's auntie was very nice to bring us around today and showed us how to use the subway.

We went to Clinton castle, which is the place to get on the ferry to liberty island. However, we didnt go to liberty island todae due to time constraint. I actually went to Wall street! The famous wall street. Hee actually there was nothing much la. Juz like if u go to nyc u got to go to Wall street. We also went to Times Square and Rockerfella center. It was realli nice. New York is very different from LA or SF as it is realli city like. Very fast paced, croweded and lively. Alot of advertising cluster especially in Times square. No wonder people always say that if u wan to go into advertising, u have to go to new york.

It was a nice and tiring day. But at least i fulfilled my dreams of actually going to New York =) Sorry for the very late post coz im waaaay too busy liaoz. Got like a zillion projects and presentations, as well as midterms coming up. HATE STUDYING NOW! Hahaa i juz wan to travel around wif my parents. As the date draws near i get more and more excited...

Hi everyone! Hee im in New York now and i didnt bring my laptop. Fortunately Arm brought his along so i borrowed his lappy to give a short introduction of my stay here. I have been here for 3 days and we covered so many places!! Oh ya by the way im here with the thai ppl and one of their fren, stayin in Kookkik's uncle's place. They are very nice and warm and treat us so nice =) Its so nice that i can save on accomodation so that i can spend it on shopping. Haha apparently kookkik's 2 other frens are here too and they spend like USD$200 a night on hotel. So imagine im stayin here for like 4 nights so tt sums up to a savings of USD$800!

Ok let me recall where i have been to. We went to Wall street, Madisson Square Centre, Central park, Metropolitan State of Art Museum, Times Square, Fifth Avenue and Liberty Island. We went to SOO many places and walk and walk and eat and eat. Haha my legs and feet hurts like hell la! I went to Sanfrancisco and walked like mad. Haven had the chance to rest my poor feet and here i am again walkin and walkin. I think im going to break down soon.

Today is Thanksgiving and in America, Thanksgiving Day is a verybig thing. Kookkik's family prepared a very sumptous Thanksgiving dinner for us. She baked a humogous turkey and omg it was ssooo good i cant believe it is home made. We also had ham, mashed potato and some other dishes. I realli miss home cooked food. MUMMY AND PAPA i miss having dinner with u all at home and drinking wine while chilling out.

Anyway i haven shopped much for the past 3 days coz im conserving it for tomorroW!! The day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday and most stores and malls give major discounts! The stores open like 5am in the morning so tomorrow we will have to wake up at likt 330 to get ready and make sure that we can fight the crowd (yes people actually camp outside some stores such as Best Buy which sells electrical appliances). I cant wait!! Its like shopping heaven. We will also be going to Empire State tomorrow whereby u can view new york from an elevated view and it is a must to visit there when u are here.

I realli had alot of fun here =) But the weather is cold. Bout 5 degrees; up and down. Tomorrow will be my shopping day and i think i should go get some quality rest to gear myself up for war tomorrow. Hahaha. Anyway i will post the beautiful pictures taken in San Francisco and New York when i get back in Sunday morning. Oh my there are so so many pictures i dunno how to load them. Haha till then, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I miss u guys. Hugs and Kisses...

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme doughnuts!! Ok how many people are envious of me now (Apparently this applies to only those who knows and have tried this brand). Haha apparently i bought 12 doughnuts and ate like 6 of them!!! Hahhahaha over like 3 days of course. The good thing bout Krispy Kreme is u can keep it and when u heat it up again it still taste as good.

Krispy Kreme is like so cheap la. 6 bucks for a dozen. And the best thing is there isnt any line at all la!! Haha and it taste waaay much better than the donut factory or vincco doughnuts! New Port Beach

Hola! Whao i juz got back from Sanfrancisco and i looooveee it there =) I know this blog is like one week late but then i toooo busy la =) forgive me ok? At least i still got the heart to introduce all of u to New Port Beach =) Its realli beautiful. Think its much nicer than Venice or Santa Monica Beach.

Actually we went on a Monday and i skipped class just to go to the beach. Haha i've been starting to develop the "i realli shouldnt bother too much bout my grades" attitute. End of the day not like there will be a difference if i get an A or a C coz i onli need to pass! Haha geared with this attitute, i went to New Port Beach guilt free, forgetting that i had a presentation that day in class... But well... The experience at New Port was nicer.

We walked by the beach and i collected some seashells. The merging of the sea and sky, with the sun as a backdrop was really beautiful.

Anyway i will blog bout my WONDERFUL and SUPER TIRING trip to Sanfrancisco soon... I have a mid-term and presentation tomorrow which i have not prepared. In fact i have a project meetin later, then i got to unpack my stuff, and then pack my stuff again coz im going to New York tomorrow night!!! SHOPPINNGGGGG!!!!

Ronnie & Me Day 3

On Saturday, Ronnie accompanied me coz he didnt have to go to work =) We had breakfast at farmer's market, located at the pier. Then we took a ferry to Sausalito island, which is like a small town. We had this great tasting burger there! Actually i wasnt hungry but looking at them make the burger made me hunry. The wonders of external stimuli... Then we took a bus to Golden Gate bridge. It was bad.. Coz it was SOOOO foggy then i could see nothing. The whole bridge was covered in fog la. But well at least im gonna go there again in dec wif my family. Hopefully it will be better then.

Ronnie also brought mi to Haight street, which is a shopping street. We also visited carson street where all the gays go to. It was fun =)

SaN francisco Day 1 & 2

San Francisco is SOOO beautiful. After visiting UC Berkeley, i suddenly regretted choosing USC for my exchange program. Not tat i dun like USC or wad, but UC Berkeley has a beautiful compound. Its definitely a place u wont dread going to everyday. On top of that, Berkeley town is a nice, quiet and peaceful neighbourhood with a hint of warmness. I love it!

I arrived at Sanfrancisco and took a train to meet Ronnie at the train station near his home and he showed me how to get to his place. He passed me a set of spare keys so i can have access to his place. He's realli very nice and treated mi with much hospitality. Thank you Ronnie. I owe u alot. And OMG Ronnie's place is AMAZING. I was totally shocked when i saw it. Its not that big but it is very clean, spacious and elegant. Ronnie's place is paid by his company & the monthly rent is like close to 3000 USD la! Coz it is juz too nice! They have 2 blocks which is like a community. There's indoor basketball court, pool table, pool and gym. And the reception will open the front glass door for u when u wan to go out... Haha... I almost didnt want to leave la. Compare it to my Sierra housing in LA... Makes me feel like a refugee.

Anyway i visited Berkeley and Downtown SF for day 1 coz it was already evening when i got there. For day 2, i nearly died of exhaustion coz i freaking hiked the the whole day la!! My legs, back and shoulders were aching so bad and my feet felt as though it was gonna break. I conquered fisherman's wharf, hiked Alcratraz Island, hiked up the almost 45 degrees street to Lombard street (world's most crooked street), then i walked to chinatown, and then to union square. ALL MY FEET LA!!

But it was a very nice n satisfiying day =) At nite i met Ronnie when he knocked off from work and he treated me to a nice dinner.

On day 2, i went to Alcratraz, a place all tourist have to visit when they go to Sanfrancisco. Well im not so much of a history person but i juz had to go there so that i can claim that "i have been to alcratraz!". Anyway Alcratraz used to be a high security prison. I dun realli know the story (coz i wasnt payin attention! hahaha busy taking photos for evidence of being there) so if u are interested... go google bout it!! Basically the view was nice from alcratraz island but i had to hike up to the cell house which was alittle tiring given the fact that i juz walked the entire pier b4 that. but all was good =)

Sandiego & Mexico Tour

Description of the tour:

1. Too little time for each destination.

2. Always in the bus.

3. Nice scenery

4. Eye opener: Went to a strip club with no quality control. To think i thought i was fat. The girls working there made me feel much better bout myself. They looked intimidating with the super duper oversized stomachs n breast...

5. No handsome guys!! All old people. There was this woman who talked non-stop (loudly).

6. Scary: SueAnn got detained in the Mexico border due to some miscommunication of her I-20 form and end up i waited for her outside the border and the tour left to continue the trip. Luckily she came out in like an hour and we had to take a train (luckily USD$2.50 only) to SanDiego harbour to meet the tour group. We got off at the wrong stop but in the end we manage to find out way there =)

We went to Hollywood and walked past the stretch of road where they had all these little stars on the floor wif names of stars. Me n Sue were like taking photos everywhere we went. Then we went to the Mann Theatre and took more photos =)

After that, we went to The Groove for CHEESECAKE FACTORY! Oh my god! Posting outside the restaurant. Its realli nicely decorated. 2 storeys with detailed decorations. They even have this beeper which they give to customers who are waiting. When it is their turn the beeper will vibrate. But there is a limit to the distance u can travel.

While waiting for our turn we walked around and i thought this dog was pretty cool =) And, WE WAITED FOR 1 HOUR. I nearly died of starvation.

SueAnn's Visit - Santa Monica & Venice beach

Today SueAnn came over to LA to visit. The other time when i went to Mexico she hosted me so this time round it is my turn. Her fren's bf is here in LA so he went to pick her from the airport and we went for breakfast together at 3rd st promenade in santa monica. We can crepes and it was realli nice =)

After Santa Monica beach we proceeded to Venice Beach. Venice beach is also known as the muscle beach coz they have an outdoor gym where many body builders train and flex their muscls. Arnold Schwarzenegger used to train there in the past =)

Hi everyone! Oh my i haven blog like forever. I had been way too busy and lazy. Haha even my maid who checks my blog daily has been complaining how come i haven blog. Ha but well now its all at one go. I went to Standard club wif Edgar again. Well i juz love tt club and the view. The music the drinks... And its near to my house =)

I bought Jacobs Creek wine and introduced Edgar to the art of drinking wine. It was his first time and he though wine tasted weird, which is pretty common =)

Ok this blog is all about me mE ME! Hahaha coz i kept taking photos of myself. I realise that after going to the gym often, i beame heavier. My damn face super round and my butt and hips become bigger. But then not fat (self-consolation)!! Haha...

This is wad i mean by big big butt... Haha.. Those who love mi will think it is cute. Those who hate me will think i am mad to take my butt and that it is ugly and big... =P Since i love myself (at least at this point in time), i would love to sae its niiicceeee!

Halloween Party!!

Halloween rocks! Hee dun u think we're juz soOo adorable? I totally adore my costume soo much. Hee. Over here in states, halloween is a BiG thing. Much bigger as compared to Spore. Over the last weekend, there were many halloween parties but i didnt go coz i was in Mexico. So, i decided that althought it is a Wed, i have to go get a costume and go party since im here in LA. Edgar brought me to Universal City walk after my class (i skipped one class actually. haha) to go shop for my costume. It was pretty last min as i didnt really thought i would need one. Luckily there was still quite a number of costumes for me to choose from.

I tried on a couple and finally settled wif the chamber maid costume as i think that it looks very flattering. The rest were either too boring or too skimpy and i dun wan to freeze to death at nite =) When i was about to pay for my costume which summed up to aout 67 USD, i realise i couldnt find my wallet and i totally freaked out! I asked Edgar to pay for me first while i called home to see if i had left it at home. So, Edgar had to go to another counter coz he had to pay wif card. And i dunno y but end up it only cost 37 dollars. So i went over and said "How come so cheap huh?" Edgar then gave me the "look" and the lady who was serving us gave us a wink. Hahaha sooo lucky rite? Anyway thank god i left my wallet at home if not i will be totally screwed.

After buying the costume, Edgar sent mi home so that i can get ready. Actually we wanted to go to Santa Monica or West Hollywood but we decided not coz there will be waaayy too much people and parking would be a hassle. So we settled wif the 740 club at downtown area.

Day 2 in Mexico

Whao! I managed to wake up on time to get prepared for the business trips =) But the breakfast was really screwed up. There were onli some fruits and cottage cheese. Luckily i brought alot of snacks to munch alon the way. We reached Walmart at 8am where we had out first business visits. We were suppose to learn about how Walmart manage their business in Mexico and wad was their business strategy. But well i was observing the entire store more coz that was my first time ever being in Walmart and i juz wanted to know more bout how it looks like.

After that we went to another company called Scantibodies where they made antibiotics, pregnancy kits and some other stuffs. It was realli cool to see hw the ppl work and learn bout the history of the company.

We then proceed to Tecate brewery. They manufacture Tecate beer there. We had tacos and beer for lunch and the tacos were the best tacos ever. It was jus sooo delicious. After touring Tecate brewery, we had a long bus ride to Ensedena where we checked into our hotel. After checking in we walked along the road to find a nice place for dinner. We settled with a seafood restaurant and i had salmon. It was realli delicious. Petter was very nice again as he had a seafood combo (wif lobster!) and he let me try his food. Oh the lobster was realli good =)!

After dinner, all of us walked to this club along the road and party. There wa sooo many of us that we managed to bargain to not need to pay entrance. It was like the coolest party i ever went coz everyone were so happy and there were so many of us. Everywhere u turned u see farmiliar faces. But since it was my roomie's first time clubbing i had to take good care of her. I wanted to make sure that she was ok.

I played games with the other ppl and it was sooo funni and nice. I went back slightly earlier wif my roomie coz she didnt want to stay too long. But i enjoyed myself sooo much =)

Day 1 in Mexico =)

Before i set off for Mexico, i was not in a good mood and i even didnt felt like going. Thank God i went coz i had SOOO much fun =) We arrived in Mexico in the evening and we checked into the hotel. My roommate for day 1 was Sonya. She's a nice and fun girl =) This school business field trip has more than 100 students coz both Global Strategy (the course which i am taking) and International finance are coming. So its a realli big group (which makes it more fun!)

After checking into the hotel all of us made way to this restaurant near the hotel. We had beer and shots there and it was realli fun coz we were like a big family. The bad bad thing was that the menu was in Spanish and there wasnt much picture to describe the food so alot of us had difficulty ordering. And secondly due to the large influx of ppl, the food took FOREVER to come. The worse thing is some ppl didnt even have their food. I couldnt finish my food coz i drank beer so i pass it to poor Aldo coz his food didnt come and he was starvin. Aldo and the other italian exchange students were realli nice and funni ppl. Especially Aldo coz he dances to practically every music.

After dinner we went back to the hotel to get changed and prepare for partying. Before setting off we had some alcohol at one of the hotel room. It was realli nice n fun chattin wif everyone. Everyone were so happy that everyone was hugging everyone (including me). But well eventually we set off for downtown in cabs where the night begun.

Prof Voigt was there too and i even took a nice photo wif him =) But he didnt drink coz we had to wake up realli early the next day so i reckon he didnt want to risk it. Anyway i paid 10 buck to enter for open bar, which meant that i could anything that i wanted. But since i know that i had to wake up early for my business visits the next day, i controlled my consumption of alcohol. But i was realli happi and i was dancing like mad.

Petter was realllli sweet to buy me flowers when this lady approached him to ask him to buy flowers =) I had a realli wonderful night. When we got back to the hotel we went to Ellen's room where Sonya, travis and some other ppl were at to have a short chat b4 heading back to the room to sleep... Nice!

Walmart Visit!!!

Whao! This Mexico trip is the funnest thing in LA! Hee all of us had SOOOO much fun! The walmart trip was nice coz its the first time i ever went to Walmart. I had wanted to go to Walmart for sooo long and i finally have my chance to. Walmart is realli big and they have everything. We had the chance to talk to the managers and ask them about their business strategy. Realli interesting how they manage their chain of stores in Mexico.

Walmart is most successful in the US but outside US, they normally dun do that well. Mexico is the only country that Walmart is doing very well outside the US =)

Everything's NOT Going My Way

Things hasnt been going too well man. The only good thing now is that mid-terms are over! Yeah... Finally man. I almost couldnt breathe... And with all the smoke and smog from the forest fire over here... Phew! Anyway fortunately the forest fire didnt affect my area. Its pretty far from here so im safe and sound. Dun worry ya (actually no one asked me bout it lor! Except for Ryan Leong Jia Rong) HMPH!!

Im heading down to Mexico today for the school trip. The thing along the way we will travel nearer to the forest fire area and i reckon the PSI would be pretty high there. But fortunately we will be inside the air-conditioned bus so it should be ok. And in case of emergency i have my inhaler with me so all should be fine.

I will be back on Sat night so till then, no msn coz i will not be bringing my lappy wif me =)

Ok let me describe why i said everything hasnt been going well for me. Firstly, for one of my group project which consisted of 6 ppl, all other 5 evaluated mi as the person who contributes the less. This is wad they said:

Findings:
We believe Max, Sam and Peter are equal in value and cannot be ranked. We feel that though Joelyn continued to be an inflexible group member with regards to meetings, and provide quality work relevant to our group goals. (She has done work, but requires a lot micro-management and quality control to her products.)
Fixing the problem:It is difficult to reprimand Joelyn because of the risk to the project, and workload to other board members. Decision on the next process is pending.

Damn mean and nasty right!! TMD! They never think that the project which we will be doing is introducing Krispy Kreme to spore and i shared my knowledge wif them coz i had a Marketing Research project done on that topic too. In addition i am also doing Krispy Kreme for my other project here and i send them all my work lor! KNN! Sorry for all the bad word coz im juz to angry and upset. So i sent all of them an email tellin them that I AM IN A DISTRESSED STATE. Which i actually am. They are jus so not understanding. But WHATEVER coz my grades are not gonna get transferred back anyway. Hmph.

Ok at least i feel better pouring all that out. Then yest i went to the ATM to draw cash and i actually forget to take my ATM card. Luckily all my money is still in there but i have to wait for 7-10 working days before my card will be sent to me and im going to Mexico today. Damn. Then in the evenin i was takin a nap when there was a fire drill at my apartment. My roomies were in the kitchen cookin and none of them knew that i was sleepin. They ran down and lock the door. If it wasa real fire i think i die liao coz initially i thought it was some stupid's car alarm that went off.

Haiz so many things happened recently. But i will be strong =) Hopefully everything will be fine. I miss my family very very much!! The feeling of wanting to go back to spore is gettin stronger and stronger. But well i know time will fly by.

The Best Sushi

I had the BeSt Sushi here in LA!! Oh my the food was simply AwEsOmE! Its not any normal kind of sushi that u ever had. The rice realli melts in your mouth. And the sushi fillings are jus sooo good. Jeevan, Ethane and Joe asked me to join them for sushi which i gladly did. And all of us were starving coz it was pretty late le. So when the food came i forgot bout taking photos coz i was onli interested in devouring the food. Ha it was jus sooo blissful. So once again, i juz HAVE to bring my family here in Dec. Hee my brother will LOVE it man.

Fortunately for the second round of food i ordered them not to eat it first so i can take some photos...

Jeevan and Joe

This was the best.... Its some spicy tuna crispy rice cut roll. Its not spicy at all anyway. But the rice was like fried on the outer layer and oh my god it's juz so nice.

Maguro (tuna) with salsa and avagardo. Its realli nice too. Ethane keep thinking it' beef. Ha..

This was a cheese tempura wif crabstick which I ordered coz i love cheese. hee

And outside the toilet... Had nothing better to do =)

Anyway the bill came up to bout 150 USD for 4 of us. Alittle on the steep side but given the quality of the food and the satisfaction that i got out of it... I would sae it was definitely worth it!!

This is a realllllii nice chill out place that i definitely HAVE to bring my family here when they come. Hee i looovvee it so much. Its like roof top, chilled, and the music is nice. They place Hip Hop... Hee... There's like a pool, waterbeds, tables and chairs. But it can get alittle chilly up here. Spore shd open this concept... Hee juz that it wont be as nice coz the good thing is that the temp here is pretty cold at nite so it makes it even better =)

Yum Cha Last Sunday =)

Whao! Last week has been HELL week man! SO much assignments, projects and midterms. All at one go. Im glad i survived it man. And now, i've got 2 midterms next week. Seems like it never ends... Anyway im soooo sorry for the lack of photos. I had been sooo busy that i juz didnt even had the time to load them. Hee so pretty lag huh...

Anyway, last sun i went for yum cha wif some thai "uncles" that i got to know in Vee's aunt's restaurant. They were realli sweet to ask mi and my frens to join them. So, i brought Joy along. I was sooo thrilled when i saw the place coz it reminded me of spore and hongkong. I was like desperate for all the good food after eating here for 2 mths man.

The food! Wad i realli liked is that it is somesort like an authentic hongkong style timsum restaurant with the push cart and stuff. And all the waiter and waitresses speak cantonese too! The first thing that came to my mind when i saw this restaurant was, "Wha.. Im so gonna bring Papa here when he's here in Dec. He's gonna love it!" Hee my daddy is always fascinated with chinese restaurant or chinatown whenever he travels. He's those typical chinese who cannot survive without chinese food... Hee...

We ate alot alot alot of food. So much that i nearly burst. Haha but i couldnt help it. It was good. Ok actually the timsum in spore is better but coz im here for like 2 mths and i haven had a chance to eat it, it tasted really awesome to me!! Hee. Anyway the bill summed up to about 100 USD for 7 ppl which is considered realli cheap. A normal bowl of noodles here in a foodcourt would cost you bout 6 bucks already. And chinese food is usually much expensive so i didnt expect it to be so cheap. Of course the seniors paid for the meal =) So nice rite. They then bought us to the supermarket and bakery to buy some stuff, before heading home. It was a nice Sunday....

Midterms, Assignments & Projects!!

Oh my god! I haven blogged for like so so long! Actually i have took photos when i went to "yum cha" last sunday and when i went to this rooftop lounge with edgar. But i had been waaaayy too busy with school work then i aint got the time to upload the photos... not to mention to blog. I have an individual assignment to hand in on monday (it's really hard and i spent the whole of fri + sat to do it), case to discuss on monday, a midterm on tuesday, and a group project to hand in on wednesday. Oh my god im like so so exhausted.

This weekend has been burnt with studying =( My fren asked me to go hollywood to club but i juz had to reject =( It's all about discipline ya... Nevermind coz i will make it up next week! But come to think of it i have another mid-term the week after. Oh my when will this end man...

Anyway everything has been pretty ok for me other than the heavy school work. I have almost fully recovered from my illness!! Which is great coz i really hate fallin ill here. No one to tak care of me, buy herbal tea for me, or cook lin yang for mi. I've been missing spore more and more recently. When u travel abroad alone for so long, u will learn to realise that home is still the best...

Hee... Anyway i realli hope that my WHOLE family can come to LA in dec. Jie this is directed at you. If you are still reading my blog, i hope u will understand wad i mean. I love you and i went through so much pains to get things planned so i really hope that things will turn out well. And i will pray that Kejiao will get her Visa.... Please please allow her to get it.... Hee... Till then, i miss everyone loads and loads. I love you mummy and papa!!

USC football match!

I finally had my chance to go to my first American football match. Well im not into American football at all coz i dunno the rules and stuff but apparently, it is a really big thing over here, especially in USC. All exchange students were given one free ticket to this match and since it's free, i decided to juz go and experience it. USC's football is ranked no 1 while our opponent Stanfort, is ranked 10th. I always knew that American football is a very big thing is USC but its not until today that i know the magnitude of it. Oh my god there were like SO MANY people! Everyone were very enthusiastic and everyone had their USC or trojans T-shirt, cap, sweatshirt, pants... etc. U name it they have it. Its like i will never see ppl in NUS wearin the NUS brand in spore. Well maybe occasionally... But over here, USC is like a premium brand. Everyone wears the USC sweatshirt or tshirt to school.

So, i bought my USC sweatshirt to wear to the match and also to keep as a souvenier. Its so big and nice and compfy...

Since this was a home game, the supporter for Stanfort was onli like i think 1 percent. In fact, i dun even think it is considered supporter coz it was like the band, which was located at one corner.

Well the first 2 quarters of the game was pretty boring. Coz i dunno the rules so i dunno wad is going on. The during the 2nd quarter break, there was a band performance. Not too bad...

During the 4th quarter, the match got really intense. USC was leading all the way until like the last 5 mins. Stanfort had a chance to attack and when it was juz one min away from the end of the game, Stanfort had a touch down.... And the won USC with a score of 24-23. Omg it was so so so intense. Everyone were so worried. Well i joined in to shout and stuff but i didnt really felt as emotional when USC lost. But the rest of the ppl were like curing and swearing... It was an intense match and i did enjoy myself. At least i'd experience an American football match.

On Friday, i went shopping with Jeevan (my fellow NuS fren) and all the other thai ppl at South Coast. Jeevan was realli nice as he borrowed a big MPV from his uncle and drove all of us there. Whao it was reali big... Its like many different big malls located at one place. Initially i told them i wont be joining them coz i didnt wanna shop anymore, for fear of giving into temptation. But then i decided that since i had never been there b4 and im here in LA, i should go and take a look. Hee so i ended up going. Well althought the place was big, i didnt realli buy much. Well guess it was because i was controllin myself and since all the things were kinda expensive or i could find them cheaper elsewhere, i decided not to buy them =) See how disciplined i am...

Inside one of the more prestige mall, i saw my future car and i juz had to pose some pictures with it. Oh i love it so much... Hahaha... Dream come true...

Nice huh... Someday... Somewhere... My dream will come. Hahaha... Well my best buy today was this coach bag. Oh my god it was so cheap. Only USD$100. When i went to Hawaii, Sue Ann showed me the coach bag she bought which i think is the same as the one i bought. When i saw it then i quite like it and SueAnn said she bought it for 100+. Well lucky me coz this was on clearance and it cost me onli like 100 bucks and it totally dun look that cheap...

I also bought a pair of jeans (bout 70 USD) from Abercrombie and Fitch. I was realli happy when i found that pair of jeans! I had wanted to buy jeans for so long but juz didnt had a chance. In LA, they dun hav cheap jeans that look ok. Its like all their jeans are branded such as Diesel, Sevens, Replay, Miss Sixty... Blablabla. I dun even see Levis around. And all those jeans costs like 200 USD per pair. Kaoz if i buy that my mummy will KILL me. But well that Abercombie jeans wasnt that bad hor, mummy =) By the way i charged it to my sub-card. Hahaha mus preserve cash liao!!

And let me explain. The reason why i need to buy jeans is because i only brought one pair of blue jeans here, coz i thought it wont be that cold. And in addition, when i came over, i was given a wrong baggage limit (some idiot told me that it was 40kg when it was actually 64kg) so i brought minimal stuff over as i didnt want to be over the limit. Hence, since i really need to buy a pair of jeans coz eventually it would get realli cold and i need to wear jeans, i hope this justifies my actions. Ok i dun even know why im explainin this here =)

Arm's Birthday

Arm's birthday is on the 4th Oct and so, we organise a home party for him on that day. I actually didnt know that there would be so many ppl coming over to my apt as i thought that it would be simple dinner. I had a project meeting scheduled at 930pm which i thought i could make it after the dinner. However, after hearing from the thai ppl that bout 20 ppl are coming over and there's gonna be a party, i had to cancel my meeting... Felt so bad...

But anyway, the thai ppl went to thai town to take away some thai food for the party. Then at home, we cooked some other food as the food that we bought wasnt enough as more ppl were coming.

Well after cutting the cake, i didnt really stay for the party as i went to Korean Town wif this new indonesian fren i made. He's in my Global Strategy class and i got to know him in the Mexican Embassy. Oh i forgot to mention to everyone that i would be going to Mexico from Oct 25 to Oct 27. Its a compulsory business field trip for my Global Strategy class... Cant wait to go... Heard its alot of fun. So, when i went to the Mexican embassy to get my permit, i saw him and we started chatting. He has studied in Spore b4 so we could realli click =)

Anyway Korean town was pretty nice. We had yogurt shiojiu and strawberry shiojiu. It tasted quite good =) Well i know i shouldnt be drinking since im sick but well... Hee... A little wont kill...

I had a shock today! Early in the morning when i was still asleep, the doctor from the USC health center called me and left a voicemail saying that she had to speak wif me regarding my lab results. When i heard the voicemail, i was pretty shock, thinking what had happened to me. So, i called the doctor back and the doctor scheduled an appt for me later in the day. Well end up that my haemoglobin (iron) level is slightly on the low side, while my white blood count is slightly elevated. While it doesnt pose much dangers, the doctor said that i could do better.

So, she gave me another blood test, a urine test and a stool test (trust me this stool test thing is realli gettin on my nerves). She wanted to find out why my iron level is low. And since my cough wasnt gettin any better and im having lots of phlegme, the doctor prescribed me antibiotics, a super strong cough syrup, and an inhaler for my breathing problesms. Well my breathing problems isnt that bad but the inhaler was for cases when i couldnt realli breathe well.

So, i went to the pharmacy wanting to pick up my medication. When the bill came it was like a whooping 110 USD! I was shocked. So Expensive! So, i asked her if i have the USD insurance card, do i get a discount and she said yes. It would be much cheaper... Like bout 45 USD. So i decided to go home and get my insurance card and collect the medication the next day so i can save money. I mean its too ex lor...

Anyway hopefully the medicine would help me to get well soon. This persistant cough is really irritating...

Good Grades AGAIN!

Yeah! I am like so proud of myself. Hee... There was this assignment for Advertising and Promotions whereby u are suppose to promote yourself to your future employee about one (or more) qualities about yourself. You can use any medium (video, demonstration, pictures etc) but there cant be any words, numbers or speech. The only exception is that you can use your name.

This assignment is graded on the effectiveness of communicating the quality, whether the quality is an appropriate quality, and whether the teacher understands you. And if you are creative you get bonus points =) What i came up with is that i took a sponge and wrote my name on it. I then had a clear glass with some water in it and i was like observing the glass, trying to understand it. Then, i put the sponge in it and it absorbs all the water and then i gave a "i got it" look. I was the only one who did a demonstration in class!

So, the teacher said that everyone started off with 8.5 points. If you communicate efficiently you get 1 more point. If it is appropriate for an employer, add 0.5 points. If it is creative and clear, another 0.5. This assignment is upon 10 points but the max u can get is 10.5. If you use words or numbers, points will be deducted accordingly. And guess what i got.... 10.5!!! I got 10.5 out of 10!! Hahahah. Although this is only an assignment, im realli happi and proud of myself =)

Sick =(

Im sick and yet again =( I fell sick after i came back from Hawaii last week due to an overdose of the sun. So, i took a 5 days course of anti-biotics from monday to friday and i realli got better. But who knows after the weekend at Orange County, i had a relapse. Sunday night was bad... Lotsa coughing, phlegme and nose congestion. So, i went to see a doctor today to check my cold and my hips. My hips hurt occasionally especially when i do vigorous exercise and i dunno why so i decided to go to the health center in school to check it out.

The doctor made me take a blood test and xray for my hips! She told mi to give my body a rest, apply hot/cold pressure on it, and no high heel shoes. I told her i have flat foot history and she said that i probably over-exerted my hips. Xray results should be out a couple of days and if nothing goes wrong then i dun have to go back. She even refer me to do physio therapy... I was like "huh? That serious?" But well im not gonna go unless it gets worse... Hee...

As for my cold, the doc took a lab test to see if there's any bacterial infection n stuff. Results will be out couple of days too. But i guess it shouldnt be tt bad la. I juz wanted some med to stop the cough and clear the phlegme coz it's realli irritating me. Everytime i try to cough out the phlegme it hurts my throat. Anyway i got my med and some cough syrup from the school's pharmacy so hopefully i will be up and well very soon!!

I miss everyone in SPORE!! Sorry no photos coz weekdays im miss goody and i stay home to do my assignments and readings... Oh ya and not to forget to chat wif my pretty mummy. My mummy was so funni. I was tokin to her on msn and i addressed her "hello pretty mummy" Then she responded "wha what a nice comment" Then i said "of course you're pretty. You're my mummy" Then she sae smthing like "my soul is lost".... Hahaa... SO cute rite =)

Orange County... SHOPPING!

I took a metro bus to Orange County to visit Vee on Sat. The ride was like 1.5 hours lor! Luckily Vee fetched me from the bus-stop =) We went shoppin for a short while before heading down to Vee's aunt's Thai restaurant to help out. Well coz there was a bdae party there so since we were free we went down to help out and have some free food and beer.

The funniest part was when i actually went on the stage to sing! Ha the customer wanted to hear mi sing some chinese songs so i went on the stage to sing. They have the lyrics but it was in thai style and not realli hanyupinying so i cant realli read it. But everyone loved my singing! Haa... So fun... End up the guitarist asked for my number... And some other ppl. See how popular i am =)

Vee was like so impressed with my singing. Hee but i thought i sang badly...

The next day, Vee took me to Ceritos Mall which i loved and adore so much! I bought so much nice and cheap stuff there! Lots of shoes too... Hee but i realli loved it. After shopping we went to meet Vee's fren, Jenny and had some bubble tea together. She's a nice girl and we arrange to go karaoke together some time =) Then, Vee drove me home.

Knotts Scary Farm!

Knotts Scary Farm is Not scary at all... Hee today i went to Knotts Berry Farm with all the Thai people. Due to Halloween, the theme of the park changed to knotts scary farm. We reached there at around 8 pm and started going to the various "ghost houses" whereby ppl dressed in costumes were supposed to scare other ppl. I was not afraid at all and Ben said that im cold-blooded. He was like so afraid and kept hiding behind Arm. Gosh i cant believe he is actually a guy...

But, i was afraid of the roller-coaster rides though. We took 3 rides and i grabbed Mon and Nut for the rides coz they sat beside me. Haha but well it was not bad. At least im better than Ben.

Marketing Fundamentals Mid-term Results!

Hee... I got back my mid-term results for marketing fundamental. Well, i think it's pretty decent =) The mid-term consists of 20 multiple choices questions, 2 marks each, and 2 short answer questions which i have to do OnE question only. The short answer question worths 10 marks. So in total it is upon 50. And... I got 46! Hahaha. Let be give a breakdown for my grades. I got 36/40 for my multiple choice. The class mean for multile choice is 34.57 and the class median is 36. For the short answer question, i got 10 out of 10. Hahaha i juz wrote alot of crap and i manage to still get full marks. Shows how smart i am =P The class mean for the short answer question is 8.73 and class median is 9. In total, the mean for the mid-term is 43.25 and median is 44.

So... Im ok hor =P Shows that even though i am like on a holiday mood, i still study hard for my midterm and i studied on the plane to hawaii lor =) Mummy are u proud of me??

Today, Sueann brought me to Pearl Habour =) Well actually it was not so exciting as im not so much of a battle nor history kind of person.. But its like since i went to Hawaii, its like a must to visit Pearl Habour... So well... Here i am =) Instead of concentrating of the history of pearl habour, i focused my efforts on taking loads of picture just so that i can prove that i'd been here, as well as to show ppl in spore wad does pearl habour looks like... Haha...

As we were walking in, i realised that sueann had bird shit on her shoulder!! Haha.. Oh im so evil... Coz i even took a picture of it. Hee well it's sueann's lucky day =)

And sueann was so nice to pose for me to take the photo. But i was the one who helped her to clean it off lor =)

Sueann and I decided to just tour the submarine and the Missouri, wihich was the battleship that i dunno went to japan to do wad. Haha... We didnt wanna spend extra money to go to the museum coz we believe that there will be nothing much for us to see anyway.

So i guess u can know how much of the history will be stored in my memory. Ha but i do remember exactly that i paid 24 USD to tour the submarine and the battleship.

On the submarine... All tourist will be given an audio set and when u walk around the ship, there will be numbers u can find which u are suppose to key into audio so that u can hear a description of that particular area. Well the living space in the submarine is really small and crowded. Really cant imagine staying in there...

After touring the submarine, we took a free shuttle service to another part of pearl habour where we toured the battleship missouri. I personally like the battleship better coz it's much bigger =)

Nevertheless, we didnt take much photos in the battleship coz we werent allowed to take photos inside...

After pearl habour, we walked a short distance to the stadium where there was a swap meet, which was actually like a pasar malam. Well there was nth much there to buy anyway =) However, we took a wrong route and end up having to cut across a big grass patch.

Hawaii Water Adventure Park!

Today, the 3 NUS peeps decided to go to the Hawaiian water adventure park =) Kelvin, Sueann and I took a bus to the adverture park and the bus ride was so so so very long! The worse thing was that i had to pee urgently! The total journey was bout 1.5 hrs and i had the urge to pee midway thru the journey. So u know how terrible that felt ya... However, we still managed to find our way there, which is very good. During the bus ride, i realise that Hawaii isnt what most people expect it to be. All the marketing gimmick making Hawaii seem like a nice and romantic place to chill by the beach... That is not exactly the case here. The bus went past areas which were not that developed. In addition, hawaii has lots of empty sandy land.

The entrance fee was like USD $35. Its kinda expensive coz there werent alot of things to do inside. But well at least we did have quite alot of fun there. This was the first ride that i took. Well it realli wasnt that scary. After being able to conquer all the rides in Disneyland and California Adventure, this was realli nothing.

Yeah! I emerged as winner as Sueann is slightly behind me. Muahahaha..

This was the second ride i took. Intially, the sight of it kinda freaked me out. It looked like 10 seconds of adrendaline rush... But well i decided to just go for it so me and Kelvin went first. Whao it was amazing! The force was so great that my bikini bottom were alittle out of place (but of cours i adjusted it before standing up la). Ha but hey the feelin was good. I then went another time wif Sueann.

After this ride, we went on to take some this other ride which is not scary at all. Ha its for my Brother and Mother and Father... Hahahahah

After all those not so exhilarating rides, we took his ride which made our USD $35 all worthwhile. This ride is really scary! They have 2 different kinds of floats, one which will be frontwards and another backwards. Me and Kelvin tried the backwards one first. It was scary! But the frontwards one was worse!

We then bought some curly fries which we indulged in. We then set off to wait for the bus which took forever. While waiting, we took alot of photos wif realli stupid acts. This jus shows how BORED we were. And the sun was sooo scorching HOT! I ended up feelin realli sickly and burnt and pain =(

Wakiki Beach + Shopping!

Aloha! Sueann and I woke up really early today head down Wakiki to have breakfast in this restaurant calle ihop. Apparently, it serves realli good pancake and everyday without fail, people queue to have breakfast there. Sueann have wanted to have breakfast there for a very long time but to no avail so this time round, since i was there, she decided to put in the effort to wake up earlier so that we can have a sumptious breakfast.

And now for the best part... The food. Oooooo doesnt the sight of it jus makes u drool. And it tasted realli good. They served a variety of food here but all are for breakfast.

After the super-filling breakfast, we made our way down to Wakiki beach. The water was realli nice and clear. It had this subtle turqouise colour which juz calms your nerves. But in my opinion, the beach in LA is nicer coz its much much bigger and less crowded. But the water in Hawaii is nicer though =) According to Sueann the other beaches are nicer coz there are lesser ppl but its too far to go so i have to be satisfied wif Wakiki Beach =)

In Wakiki, it is normal to walk around in ur Bikini to shop. Sueann and I walked into Coach shop wif our Bikinis... Ha but after awhile i decided not to expose too much of my fats so i put my tank top on =) I bought quite alot of clothes and one of my favourite is this realli nice red sun dress from a local hawaiian brand...

After Wakiki, we went to Ala Moana which is a super big shopping centre. Its like bigger than Vivocity. They hav all he branded stuffs, not as branded stuffs, alot of food blablabla. And yes, i couldnt resist shopping again... Hee.

Oh ya i forgot to mention tat Edgar was realli nice too as he picked me up from my appartment and fetched me to buy my Krispy Kreme before sending me off to the airport. And on Monday morning when i get back to Hawaii at 615am, he's gonna pick me up too! Nice rite?? I so grateful to him...

Sueann's apartment is very humble... Heehee, its much smaller than mine. But well her rent is half of mine so i guess u get wad u pay. But well im still thankful that i get to save on hotel accomodation and in return, i get to shop more MorE mORe! Hee... Let's so the calculation... Let's say one day's accomodation is roughly $100USD. So, 3 nights would indicate a savings of $300USD! So, mummy dun scold mi if i shop hor. Hee coz it's using money i saved! Hahahaha... Wad a way to make myself feel better.

Anyway after settling down, SueAnn brought me to a bar like restaurant coz its her fren bdae so we went to chill for awhile. We took a bus to Wakiki where the bar was located. Wakiki is a reali nice place; with lots of toursists, shops, and a beach. =) I would be shopping there on friday though =) The bar was ok only. Not realli my type though. But i still enjoyed myself.

Dun u just like my beautiful DKNY dress? I bought it from the outlet for onli like 50 dollars. I totally love it coz i think the colour suits my tan and it makes me look thin. Hee... :

Dearest Mummy, Daddy, KorKor and JieJie,

I just wanted to let you guys know that although im in a far far away place... So distant from my loving and supportive family members, i think about all of u all the time. My family plays a very important role in my life and im very proud to have all of you as part of me. I never fail to boast to everyone how lucky and fortunate i am to be able to receive such abundance love from my family members, and how strong are the ties we have among ourselves.

I really miss having dinner with everyone; those days when we will chat and joke bout everything under the sun; chill and drink some wine + fried fish. I just want to assure all my most beloved ones that although i may not be by your side when u need me most, that's not because i dun love you... For my love for you is as deep as the sea, and as high as the sky =) In short, it's unmeasurable.

I want to thank my mummy most for spending so much time msning me everyday (although it's because she has nth to do in office and is playing Bubbles all the time). But im really happy to be able to see ur cute chubby face on webcam!

I also want to thank Daddy (and mummy too) for sponsoring me for this very enriching study trip. Its really a dream come true for me. Without your financial support, there's no way that i can achieve all these. I know i spent alot of money (im sorry) but dun worry... I may not have the ability to pay you now, but i assure u when i graduate and start to work, i will provide you with the best that i can.

Best day in LA: Disneyland!!

This is my most fun-filled day here in LA! I went to Disneyland todae and it was sooo tiring but fun and scary. (*Attn all family members: When you come to LA in dec, we will conquer all the rides in disneyland! Juz like the way i did today! Ha... There'll be 6 of us too, juz like todae. And the good thing is, there are a couple of rides whereby 6 ppl can sit together in one cabin!)

And that was Disneyland. Opp Disneyland is California Adventure park. We bought the park hoppers ticket so we can go to both parks. There's more rides in California Adventure but Disneyland is bigger.

My first horrifying ride... Tower of terror... Gosh i was so so freaked out before the ride. Im those kind of person who would keep sayin im so so afraid to take the ride, and keep complaining before the ride. But end of the day, i still dare to take the rides. =) This ride was the best. Its like u're in a lift and it will go up to 13th storey and fall down. I was so freaked out i grabbed Ben's leg (he was sitting beside me). But its ok... (*aTTn all family members, we HAVE to sit this ride) Im really very proud of myself for having the courage to take all the rides...

But after the ride, i thought it wasnt as bad as wad i imagined it to be. We then took another super scary ride. Its like the Tower of Terror juz that tis time round its open air and we juz shoot up realli fast and fall straight down. Initially i didnt dare to take it so me and Ben waited for the 4 of them to take it. Then when they came down, they told mi its better than the Tower of Terror so i told to myself that i should be brave and juz do it since im already there. And im glad i did coz it wasnt that bad afterall =)

We then went on to take a roller coaster ride. Well its was pretty scary but again, it wasnt that bad. Ha i survived after all. Juz that it was so fast and bumpy i keep bumping my head. Especially when it was doing the 360 degree turn...

And our last ride was the "worse" of all. Not because its scary or wad. It was bcoz it got me TOTALLY drenched! Its like a circular lifebuoy and 6 of us sat in it. Towards the end, i thought i survived it but out of a sudden a big blast of water splashed up from the "river" and got me totally soaked. And the most retarded thing was that we took the ride at about 6pm when it was getting colder. I was like freezing after that. My jeans was soaked and i felt so so bad.

After this wet ride, we went for dinner and did some shopping. The things here are so so expensicve so i only got myself a cute mickey mouse ring (to put worn on my little pinky) for 21 usd. And i also bought a nice key chain (with the word JOY) for joy coz she has been so so nice to me when im here. She's like my best fren coz we tok to each other everydae about everything. After shopping, we proceeded to the main area to wait for the famous fireworks. Oh my god it was sooooo beautiful. I think its the most beautiful fireworks i had ever seen. There was like a story line behind it and it lasted pretty long. My Daddy LoVeS fireworks and i cant wait to bring him here to admire the beautiful fireworks display. It was so so romantic. Picture this: The weather is perfect... Cold and chilly but not excessively. It was dark and the fireworks display lit up the entire sky. Then they had a "fairy" flying here and there. It was so cute. I had some video clips so my loved ones in Singapore can watch the fireworks and feel my joy too =)

Party + Cleaning Up (13th August)

Today has been a truely amazing yet retarded day. Finally thursday have came... I waited so so long for it. From Mondays to Thursdays, I'll usually head home after school and go online to chat wif mummy and do some assignments and readings. That's why there isnt any posts coz i didnt went out. I went to the gym early in the morning to do some workout coz i'm so afraid of putting on weight man. After school, i headed home to have dinner and to plan wif the thai ppl how to celebrate Jay's birthday after midnight. We bought a cake and decided to juz cut the cake at midnight. Then around 9pm, I saw Tom when i was on my way to get my laundry and he told he was going for a party at Hollywood and asked me to come along. He said alot of USC students will be going to and there will be limosines fetching us to the club at 10pm. So, we decided to go.

We dolled ourselves up and i was like super exicited lor... So now its photos time...

And at the side there are champagne for us. Ladie had to pay 10 bucks for the ride to the club and back, with free alchohol. So its really ok =)

However, something bad bad bad happened... We were there for onli like 1 hr and Joy accidentally stepped on Jay's foot. Then, Jay said her foot hurt so so much that she cant walk. Well to me its quite weird coz Joy was wearing flats and since Joy is small sized, i didnt think that it would hurt so much that Jay cant even walk. But well since she say its that painful, we decided to let her go home. So, we called Eddie (this SUPER hot taiwanese-thai guy) to pick us up and send Jay home. And yes, i haven even start partying and i had to make my way home. So disappointing =(

But since it was Jay's birthday, we had to go home with her to cut her bday cake. Being the 21th birthday princess has the priviledge. So, we head home and planned to surprise her with the cake (which we did manage to of course).

After the sweet and nice part, the fun and crazy part... Look at this man...

Ben was the one who did this to her and while tryin to be a good sumaritan to clean the cake off Jay, i got innocently attacked *!%#$&#@!!! After that... Stupid Ben run away but all the rest of us got attacked.

Of course, we were not gonna let that Ben off coz he was the cause of all these... I chased with with all my might and... TADAH!!

However, after the fun and crazy mood, i saw this mess and snapped back into reality...

And this is only a small part. The worst thing is the whole apartment has cake and cream all over. And my floor is carpetted!! Upon learning this reality, my mood changed from happy to this...

I was pretty "sian diao" when i saw the mess. I was like "wtf... How the hell am i suppose to clear this mess. It's carpet man... And it's like 130am and i have to wake up at bout 7am the next dae to go to Disneyland..." In the end, we used the kitchen cleaner (a kind of spray) to spray on the carpet and scrub the carpet again and again. Fortunately some jokes were cracked here and there... So the cleaning turned out to be ok...

Joke of that night: Juz when i was super pissed with Ben for starting all these mess depriving me of my sleep, he suddenly burst into laughter and said, "Hey Joelyn u guess wad i found in the sink!" Then he continued to laugh like mad but i cant be bothered coz i was so pissed off. Then he lifted up my caked stained slippers from the sink and said while laughin "What the f*ck is your slippers doing here?" When i looked up an saw my slippers and that look on his face i couldnt help but burst into a big laughter, forgetting all my anger...

Well i ended up sleeping at bout 3am coz i had to clean the house, bathe and wash my clothes.... So... cake anyone?

Outlet Shopping wif SSA

On saturday, i went outet shopping wif the Spore Student Association of USC. I thought they were going to another outlet but then end up we went to the same one... I was realli obedient todae as i didnt buy much. Coz the other time i bought alot le so i decided that this time round i will restrain myself and save money..

There were quite alot of ppl... like 15 of us. I didnt get to know all of them coz we sat i different car so there wasnt much chance to communicate. We separated and shopped individually as our interest were different. My roomie asked me to help her to get a couple of shorts from the outlet coz she said that she trust my taste... Hmm seems like alot of ppl trust my taste huh. Hee... So i helped her to buy 3 shorts which she liked alot! And the size was juz nice too... Of course she paid me back. She went to Downtown LA todae and she bought mi an underwear from victoria's secrets! It was like 5 for $25 so she got one for mi... So nice of her rite...

After shopping at the outlet we went to this restaurant called Penang to have spore & malaysian food. The food was realli gd!

That was my Saturday... Didnt went out at nite coz i wanted to do sme assignment and plan my schedule. I booked air tickets to Hawaii from 20th sept to 23rd sept!! Im gonna go look for Sueann... Sueann's realli nice to allow me to bunk in at her apartent. The air tics alone cost like USD$442 liao... Luckily i dun hav to pay for accomodation....

Hee... Sorry for not blogging for so long.. Gosh, i realise im like getting busier day by day. There are like so much things for me to do. Assignments, projects meetings, household chores, cook my meals, blogging, work out, go out and have fun... blablabla. Hee anyway let me update you with my day at Universal Studios theme park with some NUS frens and others. We got the tickets from the ticket booth in USC and paid only $39 instead of the standard price of $61 =)

After Universal Studios, i met Edgar to watch Chuck and Larry at Universal Citywalk. It's a realli nice n funni movie =) Go watch it everyone! Then after movies, i decided to give Edgar a dinner treat to show my appreciation for his time and help. Its alway him who buy me meals n treat me to the movies... And on top of that, i was suppose to go to Magic mountains wif him todae but at the veri last min, Junhao and Jeevan asked me to go to Universal Studio with them so i "fly Edgar's aeroplane". Felt pretty bad bout it... We went to this nice Mexican restaurant. There were quite alot of ppl there but the overall experience was a good one. The lighting was dim and romantic; there was ppl singing on stage, and the food was good =)

After dinner, I needed to buy some groceries so Edgar brought me to the newly opened Ralphs supermarket near my apartment. It's so much bigger and nicer there than the supermarket in the University Village! Then when i got back, my room mate Joy asked mi to accompany her to Thai restaurant cum bar wif her thai frens (some of which i already know). And since the other Thais werent home, i decided to go wif her. Well it was realli fun there. Ly, V, Wendy were too. We had some beer and chilled alittle. There's s live band singing so i kinda liked the ambience there =)

Long weekend due to Labour Day Holiday

Yippie! Had a long weekend as it was a public holiday on Mon due to labour day. But well time juz flies huh. Fri, sat, sun and mon... Now its already tues morning (1 am) and i have to prepare to go to bed and wake up tomorrow for classes. But well its ok.. Coz very soon its gonna be friday again and i dun have classes on fridays! Hee... So let me give a summary for my weekend.

On Saturday, i went to Chinatown with Junhao, my fellow NUS fren who came here for exchange program too. Junhao stays at the same block as me, few units away. So well we took a bus in the noon time to get to China town to do some grocery shopping and have lunch. We bought some basic household stuff as well as some groceries. I had stir fried noodle for lunch... So nice to hav chinese food.

We then went to this place in chinatown that looks alittle like bugis street but the things they sell there are very old school. But i manage to get some super sized tees (5 for 10 dollars) so i could wear them to sleep and for jogging =)

At the supermarket, we saw some durians on sale! Its like pretty big in size and by the looks of it, i believe it wont taste good. Ha but anyway im not a fan of durians...

After shopping in Chinatown, we went to catch a movie at the village near our apartment. We watched Halloween and it was quite good. Pretty scary and gruesome though... Then at night, Edgar bought me to a club thats like 10 min drive from my apartment. Its realli nice inside. There were sexy dancers, and even dancers with a strap bouncing here and there from the top. The only bad thing was tat there wasnt any a/c there and i felt that i was like in a suana inside the club. In summary, i had a fun-filled saturday.

On Sunday, i went swimming and suntanning at the inn. These few days has been hot HoT HOT!! Its like even hotter than in spore lor. Dunno wad happened... Then later in the night, i went to a house party wif my room mates. It was onli a few blocks away so we walked there together with some other of their frens. Well the party was ok juz that as i didnt know any of the ppl there, it got kinda bored. So, we left pretty early... Hee.

On Monday, i woke up and went to the gym coz i realised that i indeed had put on weight =( I feel that my shorts are alittle tighter. I WoNt allow myself to put on weight so im now officially on a diet. I went to the school's gym and ran for like 5.5km and did the steps like thing (with the hand movement too) for like 2.5km. Man i was like so so tired i juz dozed off in the evening.

Oh yea there were lotsa cute and super fit guys in the gym... Hee my eyes juz couldnt stop wandering around...

ater in the night, Edgar said he wanna bring me to Speedzone. Its like Go Kart Racing but very safe. It was realli nice n fun. We did 2 rides; one is like normal racing and the other is slower but the track is more slippery so u have to handle the turns better.

Santa Monica Beach~

Today has been a great great FriDaY~!! I woke up bout 10 plus and had a muffin for breakfast. Then, i did some household chores and chatted wif my room mates. The 3 girls would be going to San Deigo over the weekend so that would mean that im all alone for the weekend... But well thats not so bad coz im used to it le. Hee...

As i finally managed to shift my classes to pack them into the first 4 days of the week, it meant that my fridays would be free. So, Edgar brought me to Santa Monica today. I was realli excited as i had wanted to go to the beach for so long! Edgar reached about 2 plus and we headed off for the beautiful Santa Monica Beach... Oh the beach was really pretty. Its not like Sentosa... Its much bigger and the view was awesome. I had so much fun there.

Beside the beach was Santa Monica Pier. They had fastfood restaurants and some shops there. Nothing fantastic but the view of the sea from the pier was great. A pity after suntanning i left my bag (with my camera inside) in Edgar's car before we walked down to the pier to grab a bite. So, i didnt manage to take photos of the view from the pier =( But thats ok coz at least i have the beach!

After having my fair share of the sun, we decided to go grap a bite at the pier as i was starving. They dun have shower rooms in the toilet for beach users to bathe so i had to wash up using the shower outside the toilet. Man it was cold! It was pretty windy so i was like shaking when i washed. Edgar thought it was funny so he kept taking shots of me washing up in the open.

Actually although the sun was pretty glaring, i didnt get as tanned as i usually would in spore. Duno whether its bcoz the sun is not as strong as in spore, or was it due to the constant wind. Hee... Wadever the case, at least i had some sun =) So after having a chilli cheese burger at the pier, we walked around the pier before heading to 3rd street Promenade. Its like a street with shopping, lots of restaurant and theatres.

After bumping around the street, we decided to catch a movie. We bought tickets for Bourne Ultimate at 730pm. The show was ok. I didnt really understand coz i dun remember wad part 1 and 2 were about. Hee after movie, we continue to bump around.

I realli had an enjoyable day today =) Really have to thank Edgar for bringing me around coz in this foreign land i realli dunno hw to go about visiting places =)

Home Cooked Thai Food for Dinner =)

Today, the 5 thais and i cooked our own dinner. It was realli fun and nice to get together to cook a meal. Haven had home cooked meal for some time. Although i always make my own food, i dun hav the luxury of time to cook different dishes. Things i usually eat here include salad wif sausage, sandwich, cereal, muffins (bought in supermarket), porridge, instant noodles and fruits.

Today, we cooked Tom Yum soup, stir fried minced pork with sweet and sour sauce, stir fried mix veg and rice. It was my first time cookin rice and im glad that it was a success. Hee coz we didnt had a rice cooker, i had to estimate how much rice and water to put in. I realli didnt had a clue and could only depend on my gut feeling. Luckily i usually cook porridge so i roughly had an idea how much rice and water to put into the pot.

See... Everyone liked my rice. At least it wasnt too wet or wad. We also cooked Tom Yum soup with cabbage, carrots, mushroom, chilli padi and shrimps. Although we used the instant tom yum paste, the soup tasted ok =)

Ben and i cooked minced pork with sweet and spicy sauce. It tasted realli good especially with the rice.

Our last dish was stir fried cabbage, carrots and old kailan wif oyster sauce.

We were resting after finishin the delicious food when Arm suddenly jerk up and started fanning his hands in front of his face. He was eatin the baby carrots from the soup before he made those sudden actions. And when he was fannng, he said "red carrot red carrot". All of us burst into a big laughter. Do you know what he actually meant?

Look at the food on his spoon. The one on the left is baby carrot and the one on the right is chilli padi. Ha that silly Arm ate a chilli padi thinking that it is a carrot. And the most stupid thing is he actually said "red carrot". Well i had an enjoyable night =)

Life in school...

Hello all my precious loved ones! Missing me and my blogs? Hee sorry for not posting for the past few days. Coz there wasnt much to blog about so i decided not to blog. School's gettin on fine and good. I kinda like schooling here more than in spore. Is it bcoz its juz the beginning? Well we'll wait n see k... Im currently taking 5 classes over in USC. 1. Global Strategy. 2. Global Marketing Management. 3. Consumer Behavior. 4. Advertising and Promotions. 5. Marketing Fundamentals. No 1 & 2 are kinda overlapping as the topics taught have some similarities.

I love all the classes im taking... except Marketing Fundamentals. The lecturer keeps on "erm erm erm" and its realli kinda irritating. On top of that, i had already taken Principles of Marketing in spore so i kinda know wad he's teaching already. Thus, it gets kinda boring for mi.

And the worse thing is, out of all the classes im taking, this happens to be the one class whereby i dunno anyone =( Means no one to tok to me to entertain me and prevent mi from falling asleep.

The lecturer... (P.S. I was tryin realli hard to stay awake. But i was too bored so i decided to sneak some photos of the lecturer)

Eventually, i gave up tryin to concentrate... I decided to do this....

Hee super artistic right! Well its not that i dun wan to pay attention. The lecturer keeps blabbering stuff that i already know, and he speaks wif a kind of funni accent (he's dennish), and he keeps adding "erm" in EVERY of his sentence... The way he speaks has a kind of hipnotising effect on me... So in order not to be portray as disrespectful (if i were to fall asleep), i just had to display my artistic talent...

The 2 classes which im taking with Kookkik and Ben are A&P and Global Marketing Management. These 2 classes are realli quite fun. Too bad Ben might have to go to another session for Global Marketing Management coz he didnt manage to take the session Kk and I are taking and there's minimal chance that he's able to add it coz there are many ppl on the wait list.

That is all for school. On wed night, i met up wif a Sporean fren who introduced mi to his fren who has been stayin here for many years le.

Mikkeal is actually a common fren of 2 of my frens in spore. I seen him a couple of times in spore. Before he left spore to return to states from his summer break, Baby told him im here so he got my no from Baby and he texted mi on tues night. Mikkeal is a nice guy (super rich i think) but hmmm... maybe he's those hua hua gong zhi. He's an undergrade at i forgot wad uni. And, he drives a veri nice white BMW 328i... 2 doors. He said he bought it for bout 50k USD and his mum sponsor him 8k. The rest he paid himself. Not bad for a 23 yr old. But, he has 3 cars (another is a BMW M3) so he's gonna sell off his 328i. I dunno bout the story of his cars coz it was quite complicated. Anyway none of my business. Ha. But, i realli like the inbuilt GPS system in his car. Its super cool and convenient man. Juz key in the address and the "robot" will tell u where to turn n stuff.

Anyway, after chilling at the korean restaurant, Candice bought us to her fren's club. Quite a nice place. So nice to meet fellow sporeans.

Bookstore + Dnr wif Singapor Association in USC

Sunday was pretty fulfilling. Woke up early to make breakfast and pack house. However, as i slept really late on Sat, i felt realli tired during the noon so i took a nap. Woke up at 3pm to get ready for the apartment meeting at 330pm. The whole gang of us went to the meeting but left kinda early coz we wanted to go to the bookstore to buy our books.

The text books here are super duper expensive lor. On average, one new book cost bout 150 USD and a used one would cost bout 110 USD. Hence, i decided not to buy the books first. I took down the ISBN number so i can either ask my sis to buy it for me in spore (which she already did. She bought my Advertising & Promotions text for me. Its the same title and author but diff colour for the colour. But i dun care coz it's so much cheaper), or purchase it online.

However, i bought one of my text le coz its like 56 USD and its like a magazine so i doubt they will have it online or in spore. And since its relatively cheap le i might as well juz buy it here.

This textbook is realli interesting. It looks like a magazine but the contents are like marketing fundamentals. Its realli costly for a magazine, but considered cheap for a "textbook" in states. We also bought a printer coz there are lots of homeworks and handouts that we have to print. 6 of us (including the 2 guys) shared the costs which summed up to 190 USD including paper and the cable. So each person paid bout 33 USD.

After buying the textbookds, i rushed to get prepared for the outing with the Singapore Association of USC. The sporean couple had told me bout this dnr outing and i decided to juz go and make some frens. So, there were actually 9 of us but 2 of the sporeans didnt wanna go so left wif bout 7. The president Ellen and another guy Glenn drove us to a Korean BBQ restaurant named MannaKoreanBBQ. Its a bbq buffet with tons of meat. They also hav side dishes and salad.

I love the beef as it tasted really good. Its realli top grade beef. The salad was also very nice as the dressing was really appetizing. I ate hell lotsa food which made me felt that i was going to burst. Pretty worth it for 20 USD.

After dinner, i went back to pack alittle things and went to bed early to prep myelf for 1st day of school on MONDAY!! So excited...

Hee so today i went for my first dae of school. Things were realli good and i love school! (at least for now... hee). Lecturer is humorous and teaches well. Lotsa cute guys in my class. Nice and warm classmates... So far so good =) Most imptly, my eye candy is in the same 2 classes as i am! And he talked to me! Oh gosh he is so gorgeous. He's a Dennish and he's from Koopenhagen Universityin Sweden. Hee... But well, juz for the eyes only. Nothing more.

During my Global strategy class, Ellen was in the same class as me. For that class, i suppose to get a course reader which cost bout 120 USD. So, i asked her whether i could borrow from here to make a copy and she allowed. Oh she's so so nice =) Really appreciated it. So i went to the copier place and asked the person whether i can copy it. He quoted 70 USD to copy and bind it. At least i get to save quite alot of money =)

When school ended, i went to the bookstore to get some stationary. Then, i went home to cook a big bowl of vegetables as i onli had breakfast at bout 830am all the way till ike 5pm. I was realli starving. At bout 710pm, i went for a jog as i had not been jogging for many days due to my tight schedule.

At nite, i read some of the readings that were posted and then went online to try to buy my books. I managed to find one of the books from Amazon.com and it costed only like 32 USD. In school it would cost like 150 USD. It was so cheap that i was kinda skeptical whether im getin the right book; whether they will realli mail it to me, or whether it is in good condition. But the description states that it is brand new. Well guess i will wait and see =)

Palmstring Factory Outlet - Best In LA

Today, Kk's mum's fren brought us to the factory outlet in Palmstring. As it would be a pretty long drive from Downtown LA, the initial plan was to leave around 9am so that we wont reach home too late. However, dunno wad happened and kk's mum only reached around 11plus. So, by the time we finish procastinating, it was almost 12nn. We then hoped onto the car and quickly head to the outlet. The drive was about an hr plus and we reached palmstring close to 2pm. Whao the outlet is HUGE! There were different wings so we didnt manage to finish shoppin at all outlets as there were simply too many of them. It was located at a very out of the way area as it looked like a deser there. The backdrop was all sand. There wasnt any other buildings around except for some fastfood restaurants.

We then set a time to meet at around 6pm (which we of course didnt manage to meet) at a certain point. Ben and Arm went together, Kk's mum and her fren went together and the 5 other girls (including me) went together. My first stop as Bebe and i was so surprised at how cheap the clothes were. To think i spent so much money on my Bebe clothes that i bought in spore. Even the classics that werent on sale were bout half the price. Tat is so amazing.

After Bebe i went on to a couple of shops before settling down in Ralph Lauren. This was the shop that we spent the most time in. We were to spoilt for cheap deals that we couldnt decide. The skinny polo was so cheap and it was available in so many pretty colours that we didnt know how to choose. In short, limited money unlimited choice. After spending half a century and buring tons of cash, we decided to have lunch as it was 4plus and we were starving. Actually i didnt feel the hunger coz i was so happy shopping =)

We went to a foodcourt nearby for lunch.

Lunch was good and fulfilling. After satisfyin our hunger, it was time for another round of shoppin. We conquered only 10% i guess and we already bought so much. Hee... We decided to split up so it would be faster. I went alone to Dior but im not so much of a Dior fan so i didnt really browse around much. I tend went to fossils where they sold really cheap watches. Those watches were supposed to be refurbished watches that may hav minor imperfections but most of them were perfectly ok (well at least to my eyes). They were going at onli 29.99 bucks. DKNY, fossil... etc.

Then, i went on to Gucci when i almost wanted to buy the whole shop. The bags were way to cheap. There's no way i could ever get such a discount man! And being a Gucci fan, i couldnt help but bought some stuff. Ibought a belt and a shoes (which i paid MySeLf) and a very nice black bag (which i called mummy and told her i will buy using credit card but will pay her back once i get back). Mummy thanks for not sayin no. Juz to let u know i truely appreciate it =) I so wanted to buy everything but due to limited capital i couldnt. Next time when i start working, i will save 5k to come here and shop shop shop.

By the time i was done wif Gucci, it was already 610pm. So i went to look for kk who was in coach. I didnt wanna look around anymore as i didnt wanna chance upon something i like and start spending money again. So i went to look for Ben and Arm who were around the area restin. We chatted abit and Joy and Vee came to join us. After some time, we decided it was pretty bored so we went into Tod's and saw kk's mum, her fren, kk and Jay inside. They were trying on Tod's sneakers which costed only like $130 USD as it was 50% off outlet price. Damn Tod's sneakers at that price! And those sneakers look good. But well i didnt got any coz i didnt wanna spend another 100 bucks on shoes.

So, we went to kippling where there were like 65% sale! So, Joy Vee and I bought some cheap stuff there. After all these shopping, we went to the meet at the car and drove to the other side (I didnt even had time to go to GAP, Burberry etc...) Kk's mum's fren wanted to get some starbucks which was located there. I then bought my last purchase of the dae: A Guess wallet for 20 buck. It was almost 9pm by then.

We then headed towards Downtown LA for dinner. We went to a noodle house which had a wide variety of asian noodles. The portions were like super super big lor! But the good was nice.

This is a special post which contains of all the things that i bought. I will tell you the individual prices of these products and you will know WHY I BOUGHT SO MUCH. Its like i believe no one can resist it. I know i burst alot of money but mummy, out of those money that i spent today, about $500 USD is my own money. And on top of that, i will pay u the $560 USD for the Gucci bag when i get back to Spore. So, in short actually i didnt burn that much of ur money. Im realli worried that you will kill and deal with me so i got to explain my stand. Firstly, these things are things that i really like and will eventually buy when im in spore (when i hav the money la). So, since they have it here and the price is half, one third and sometimes even a quarter of wad it will cost in spore. So, i rather buy them here then work my ass off to pay u back =) And knowing that you are a shopaholic yourself and how much you love me, i know u will understand right? Hee and since school is starting on monday, i will scrimp and save for the month of september. So, THANK YOU for giving me the green light to buy the Gucci bag (it really made it my happiest day here).

The ralph lauren here is SO SO SO cheap! I wanted to buy for mummy, papa, meimei and korkor but then i decided that since you all are coming to visit me in dec, i will let you guys come here to choose and buy like crazy yourself =) And kor, the burberry, GAP, Adidas and Fossil Watches are so cheap! I think the burberry tee onli like 50+ USD per piece. Jie, the Gucci is SO cheap, Kiplings bags, Guess, BeBe, TODs, COACH and many more are SO cheap too! So you know wad, u guys shd STOP buying any branded goods in spore and save up to buy here. One piece there could probably get u 3 pieces here! So, one of the most impt stop in our LA itinery would be PALMSTRING FACTORY OUTLET!

Watch on the left is DKNY and right is FOSSIL. Each of it costs $30 USD. In spore i believe one of it would cost bout $90 USD. So, it's 1/3 the price. Nice and sweet right.

Guess Wallet. $20 USD. I bought it coz my wallet here like gng to spoil le and there isnt a coin compartment.

Kiplings Bag. The big one is gd for travelling and sch. Costs $25 USD. Small one is for meimei coz i tot she'll like it. BUT im going to use it here first. HAHA. It costs $17 USD =) Kippling is pretty ex in spore too but im not too sure of the price though.

Clothes from BeBe! Clockwise starting from the black shorts dress. 1) Black shorts dress costs $40 USD (it was on 65% off outlet price). 2) Red tank top costs $35 USD. It costs bout $50 USD in spore. 3) Orange and white tee costs $38 USD (it was on 30% off outlet price). 4) Orange BeBe costs $26 USD. This is for KeJiao. 5) Silk top costs $24 USD. In spore it cost bout $100 USD i think coz i wanted to buy it last time but too ex le. So in tot, i spent $170 USD for 5 nice pieces from Bebe.

Now its Ralph Lauren. It is so cheap lor! I almost wanted to buy every piece in diff colours... Ha but i didnt la. From left: Long sleeve polo tee cost $32 USD. Plain white tee cost $12 USD. Stripped pullover costs $37 USD. Well i guess i dun need to tell you how much RL costs in spore right? And one impt thing is its not like the shop is in a mess and there are no sizes. There are multiple sizes and colours available and the clothes are all in gd condition!!

And lastly, my best buys from Gucci =) Well all my buys are realli good but since i am quite a Gucci fan and i had always wanted to buy these things, i feel really X 100 happy that i manage to get these things at this kind of price. It is even cheaper than buying in Paris man.

Gucci Bag. This is like one of the newest model (if im not wrong). Jie, u remember we saw this girl holdint this black bag in Gucci the other time when u wanted to get ur bag then we liked it alot. I think this is the same material. It Suede. Mummy i think u will like it too so we can all use it when i get back to spore =) It costs $560 USD after tax. I believe it will cost a thousand plus Sing dollars or 2 thousand coz of the material. It looks realli nice when u carry it and Jie, u will love it.

This is a Gucci heels which i had seen in spore and wanted to buy. It's close to 1k sing dollars but i paid like $230 USD after tax for it. Gosh i cant believe i attained my wish of having a Gucci heels at this price =) Its realli nice n comfy.

And this belt can totally match my shoes. I had wanted to get a Gucci belt in spore forever but then cant bear to. This one costs bout $170 USD after tax. It would cost close to 600 sing dollars.That's bout it =) Now u see how cheap the things are right =) Im like so so happy but kinda guilty too. But at least i paid some myself too so not that bad =)

Orientation In School

Today was the first school activity that i went! The orientation was at 9am so by 730am, i was all up and ready to get prepared. By 9am, the Thais, Tom and me were all seated in this small lecture room waiting to be told wad to do. Sean, the in-charge gave us an introduction of USC. He also touch on the different faculties in USC, the school structure, as well as the teaching style here. He then proceeded to tell us all the little things that were prepared for us. Well actually the first half of the briefing wasnt that much coz wadever he said, i already know.

At about 12, we were given a break and told to go back at 2pm for the next half of the breifing. We went to the Welcome Party that was held for all International students. I was given a free T-shirt, free notepad, as well as a free file. We then had free Subs and cookies for lunch.

After lunch, it was onli 1230 so since the girls need to go have their TB test reading, i decided to go back to the apartment to rest awhile as i was realli tired. I then headed back to the apartment for a nap. Hee but at 2pm, i decided that i wanted to sleep so i skipped the 2nd half of the briefing. In the evening, Edgar asked me to go out (actually it had been planned few days ago le). While getting ready, i decided to do some laundry.

I just realised that there is a laundry room just 1 min walk from my apartment. Im such an idiot to only know now right. Ha so i went to the laundry room and used a washing machine for the first time in my life. Well it wasnt all so hard. It cost $1 each time and everyone is given a card which needs to be topped up with credit card.

Edgar picked me up at around 645pm and we headed to Universal Studio Citywalk to have dinner and catch a movie. We had mexican fast food called Rubios. The tacos were quite nice. Then, we watched Superbad. The movie tickets here damn expensive lor. Its like about 24 USD for 2 tickets. Damn ex right... And i thought Singapore was super ex...

After movie, we wanted to go to the place we went last weekend but because i didnt bring my passport (coz the other time the bartender told me that an ID would be sufficient so thats y i didnt bring my passport), i wasnt allowed in. So, we decided to shop around Universal studio as there were quite alot of realli nice shops. Hee retail therapy... I bought one realli nice pink cap for KHONG SHIHUI. Then i bought my first Doggers jersey! Hee initially when i saw the price for the normal adults one (bout 150 USD) i was like "WTF so ex. Dun buy le." Then i walked around and went to the youth section and i saw the white one with pink Doggers signature. It was so sweet. And it cost bout 60 USD. Less than half the price. I comtemplated for awhile and decided that since im in states, i have to get a Doggers jersey coz its juz too sweet (with the pink wordings and stuff).

After that i went to Abercrombire and Fitch. Its the first time that i ever seen an A&F outlet. It looked so posh. And its so much cheaper! I bought this really sweet PINK dress for like 35 USD. And i bought it fresh from an outlet. Nice rite... Khong shihui, do u need anything? Ha or maybe u can come buy it here urself in December coz u will definitely love it =)

By like 1130pm i decided to head home cos im going to FACTORY OUTLET tomorrow!! I cant wait! Kk's mum's gonna bring all of us to the Factory Outlet for shopping... Last retail therapy before school starts on Mon and i would be so busy... Hee...

I miss mummy, papa, jiejie, korkor, edwin, baby, eugene, and everyone! Hee too many names to include la... Oh ya and Kelvin dunno if u are reading this but u very funni hor. Always message me "dun forget to take lunch". Ha but thanks anyway for the reminder.

Today had been a long day. I must really salute myself to be able to wake up despite all those drinks last night man. I woke up around 830am to bathe and make breakfast. Kk's mum bought bagels yest and she said that thes bagels would taste best after some light toast. So, i cut and toasted the bagels and placed them on plates for them to eat. I then woke them up and told them to go bathe or we would be late for their passport verification.

Last nite i slept earlier than them. Fortunately when i woke up this morning, they packed up the mess they made last night. Hee... Coz before i went to bed i told them to clear up before sleeping and knowing how organized i was, they decided to heel wad i said =)

The 2 thai guys then came down to join us and have breakfast (i also made their share). They brought their room mate (Tom) over to join us. Tom is from Hungary and he is quite a good looking chap =) Over here, im like a maid lor. Because i cannot stand untidiness, i tend to wash up everything. After their breakfast, i was the one who helped to wash their plates lor. Im also always the one to put the plates, cups and utensils back after they're dry.

My fellow NUS friend, Junhao also joined us.I promised to help him coz he helped me to bring some stuff over from spore and im indebted to him. So, 8 of us set off for school to get their passport verified as well as to get their USC card done.

Tom is the one is yellow. The one on his left is an Italian who is also an exchange student. Sean, the in-charge of the Exchange program asked him to join us as we were headin to the station to make their USC card. Another fren made (although i dun even remember his name. haha)

We went to Yoshinoya for lunch where Tea came over to meet us. This is me and Tom..

After having Yoshinoya, we went back to the apartment to drop our things and then headed to Macy's as the guys needed to get some pillow and sheets. I took them on a bus ride them =)

In the bus, i saw a Jewish and i found the little cap they wear on their head so so cutee!! I jus had to take a photo of it. It's my first time seeing it though.

At Macy's, we did some shopping and the girls bought some clothes from the Youth Department. Look at the brown polo ralph dress i wore yest. I bought it here and they liked it alot so 3 of the girls bought the same thing as me. One pink, one blue and another the same brown as me. I bought one polo ralph tee for my brother. Hopefully his fat tummy will fit in. Hahaha.

After shopping, we decided to find somewhere nice for dinner so we could bid farewell to Tea who would be heading for the airport to return to Thailand after dinner. We settled with California Pizza Kitchen. We ordered 3 pastas and 2 pizzas to share. The food was pretty good.

Thet treated me to dinner to thank me for my help =) So nice rite? After dinner, it was time to head home. We then went to the bus stop to wait for the bus. However, we waited for 20 mins and there wasnt a single bus. I started to wonder whether there wasnt any buses anymore as it was already 9pm. So, we decided to just share a cab home.

1st day hanging out wif house mates

Today i'd been helping my room mates for the whole day. I was like the tour guide, leading and navigating the way. Sometimes, i cant help but feel that they're really lucky coz they dun need to think or worry bout anything. All they need to do is to follow me. As for me, i had to do and find out everything all by myself. But well its always nice to help ppl ya. Eventually, should i ever need help someday, i believe (or hope) that people wont just simply turn their back on me and shut me out of their world.

Things we did today include submitting their immunization forms, taking the TB test, opening a bank account, and paid for their school fees.

Arm (their thai fren who's stayin on the 2nd storey), Jay, Kookkik and Joy with their proof of immunization and xray from the thailand hospital. Super kawaii rite... hee.

Before we head to school, we went to the bank first so that they could open their bank account. It took forever for it to be acccomplished. In total i think we spent 3 hours there!

By the time we were done, all of us were starving so we went to subway to each grab a burger to fill that stomach of ours. We the proceeded to school to get things done.

After settlin all things, Kookik's mum picked us up from campus and send us back to our apartment. She bought some more stuffs for the apartment (laundry pails, fan, bagels for breakfast tml, and some other stuffs).

Tammy, her bf and one of her bf's fren then came over to join us at the apartment. My apartment was like so crowded lor. Another 2 thai guys also arrived today. Tea is only here for holiday and is returin to Thailand tml whereas Ben is going to USC too and he'll be stayin with Arm here.

At night, all 11 of us squeezed into Tammy's Lexus SUV. 5 girsl at the back, 4 guys in the middle, and tammy's bf infront. Super squeezy lor!

We went to this mall in Hollywood called Hollywood Highlanders. The mall is realli pretty with all the lightings =) There were alot of nice restaurants there. We actually wanted to hav jap food but there were no tables available we ended having american food.

We went to Johnny Rockets (similar to Billy Bomber's in Spore) for dinner. The burger was not bad. Juz that the portion was alittle too big.

Inside the restaurant, Tea was fondling with this mini juke box on the table. He inserted a nickel inside and dedicated a song. The intention was onli to test and see whether there will be any music from the juke box. Out of a sudden, the staff came out and started dancing. All of us were laughing like mad lor.

After dinner, the thais decided to hold a mini farewell party for Tea so they went to the department stall nearby to buy 2 bottles of Blacklabel. These people are realli mad lor. I didnt wanna join them initally coz i was pretty tired and had no mood to drink. But they kept asking me to join them so since i didnt wanna be a spoil sport, I joined them for awhile.

They are really hell drinkers lor. But well all of us realli had alot of fun. Ben was like posing all sorts of funny and weird postures.

Aug 21: LittleTokyo + Welcome room mates =)

Yesterdae was pretty boring thats y i decided not to post anything. I decided that i need to do something to my hair coz ever since i came her, my precious hair has been like super dry. Think its bcoz of the climate here. So, I went to the University Village shopping center to do my hair. It cost 35 USD for treatment and haircut, and 50 USD to include to blow dry ur hair as well. Its like so stupid. 15 USD juz to blowdry ur hair. No way man. So i decided to juz do the treatment and to hav a small trim. Their treatment realli cannot make it lor. Its actually called deep conditioning here. They juz put some treatment cream on ur hair then put a dryer (somethin tt emits heat but its not a steamer). After 15 mins wash off and thats it.

The hair cut wasnt any good too. They dunno how to texturize the hair. Luckily my hair is long so cant realli tell. Juz tt it looks more level now. After doing my hair i took a bus to 7th to do some light shopping. Shopped in the department store and bought one ralph lauren big horse polo tee and a ralph lauren t-shirt dress for a tot of 80 bucks onli. Hee coz i went to the kids department to get it. Their kids size so big i also can wear lor. Had i got it in a boutique it would hav costed more than 200 buck i guess. Well thats all for monday.

Today had been much better. I took a bus to little Tokyo. So smart rite!! I went there alone lor. Little Toyko is alrite. Nth much but then good to walk around. I went to this little gift shop to buy some little gifts. I saw this little smthing and the moment i set my eyes on it, i knew i had to get it for this special person. Edwin, thank you for always chattin wif mi and keepin me company =) When im lost u will help mi to source for all posible solutions. Thank you so much =) Ok mummy i know u will be askin mi who is tis Edwin guy. Dun worry i will tell u more bout him when i fly back to spore. Haha..

After lunch, i decided to have some Italian frozen yogurt. I had the green tea flavoured one with almond nuts, watermelon and strawberry toppings. It tasted really very nice.

After eating my yogurt, it was about 5pm so i decided to head back home. When i got back, i was realli surprise coz there were quite alot of ppl in my apartment. Then i realised that my room mates have moved in le! One of the room mate's mum bought Krispy Kreme and asked me to eat the doughnut! Im so thrilled coz i'd wanted to try krispy kreme for sooo long =) I had the sugar glazed one. It sweet and soft... and realli nice.

Im realli happy and thrilled coz my 3 house mates (1 of which is my room mate) are such nice and frenly ppl. Im gonna have so much fun. They even asked me to join them for dinner, which i happily agreed. They bought so much stuffs along too! Tv, microwave oven, toaster, dryer to hang clothes, alot alot alot of instant noodles n mineral water, tidbits, cups, utensils, plates... etc. In short they almost bought wadever that is needed. Fortunately some of the things which they didnt had, i have bought already so we could share. So while they took time to unpack, i excitely went online to chat wif my mummy.

Saturday was pretty boring for me as i didnt feel very well so i stayed home the entire dae. Which is good though since that would mean that i didnt spend a single cent. Hee... I cooked porriage in the morning. Added sausage, carrots and minced meat. Taste pretty good! I didnt manage to finish it as i cooked quite a big portion so i kept the rest in the fridge and cooked it again wif water at nite when i was hungry.

After eating my porriage, i went downstairs to collect a package which i received. The box was like damn huge but end up inside was only a small box containing the laptop cooler i ordered. Ha coz im always online and blogging so i didnt want my lappy to overheat.

Cool right? Hee i like it alot. Well that is all for saturday.

Sunday was much cooler =) I went to chinatown! Was suppose to go there alone but last min the sporean couple told me that the would be joining me so i had company! We took a bus there. Only 25 cents lor! Had to alight at Macy's and transfer to another bus (free transfer). The journey was probable 20 mins in total. Not too far =)

This is where i had my lunch. The food was ok but the portion was realli big. I had mixed beef soup, Eddie had fried rice an Jacelyn had Hor Fun. Gosh im so impressed coz they finished their food lor. As for me, i was super bloated when i was halfway thru le... Hee

And finally, these are the things i bought. It was really kewl coz i think i'd gotten wad i need le =) I managed to find CHILLI PADI. Hee actually i dunno wad im gonna eat it with but still... Seeing it makes me happy. I also bought old kailan, and i found oyster sauce and fish sauce. I also manage to buy olive veg to eat wif porriage =) But it was realli a ordeal to carry all these superbly heavy stuff back to my home. The walk back from the bus stop (bout 15mins) was terrible. I thought my hands were droppin out... Ha... But of course, i still managed to survive. Sometimes i dunno why im so strong... Hahahahah

Day 8: Universal Studios

Whao, in the blink of the eye, im here for like 8 days le. Time sure flies huh. See now it aint that bad afterall. I managed to survive. But i sure miss everyone back home. And did anyone actually noticed i added a stats counter? Ha impressive right (like real). Now i know whether u ppl are appreciating the efforts im putting to write my blog. U know i hate blogging. Well its all due to popular demand... =)

Anyway todae smthing happened when i was bathing. I was damn lucky or i would be in the hospital now (with ppl flying over from spore anxiously to come visit me). I was in the showers bathing and suddenly, i heard a loud crash. I then slide the door open (the shower door not the toilet door) and looked at the floor.

The ceiling light cover fell from the top and smashed onto the ground. Imagine if i got into the toilet like 2 mins later; or if the light was over the tub instead. *Phew* A lucky escape. Anyway im nt hurt at all coz i called the customer service ppl to send maintainance up to clear up the mess coz i didnt have a broom to do so. Then, i made myself a sandwich to eat. Too bad i dun hav a photo of my delicious sandwich coz by the time i remember to take a photo, i finished it all coz it was juz too nice =) These few daes i will be cookin coz i bought groceries but well, it will be more or less the same food coz i didnt buy much variety. Coz their portion is too big le so i have to finish wad i bought first b4 buying others juz in case the food spoils.

At nite, Edgar brought me to Universal Studios! I remember going there when i went to states 8 yrs ago but i cant remember how it looked like le. All i remember is that there were lots of rides and stuff. Anyway, Universal Studios is awesome =) With all the lightings and ppl... It's nice. And its fridae nite so tt makes it better. Anyway this is Edgar's car.

I took lots of pictures there at Universal Studios! Love the lights. I will definitely go there again for shopping. We went to the top floor of the parking first so i can hav a top view of downtown los angeles. But cant really see the lightings in the picture though.

There's a Hard Rock Cafe outlet there which sells kewl t-shirts. Im so gonna buy one the next time i visit Universal Studios. Will get one for u too jie.

I kinda like the picture below alot coz i tot the "blurred" background looked kinda artistic. Well it muz hav been due to the fact the Edgar's hand shook but well, it still turned out well.

We went to this nice chill out place and this drink, the one below, is an all time favourite there. Wherever u walked to, ppl would be holding this drink. And i think it cost like USD$21. Bout there. It looked realli nice wif the the bubbling effect inside and the smoke oozing out from the top =)

They had girls dancing at the top of the dance floor and the girl was realli hot. I can see her butt shaking here and there. And beside her, there was another girl behind a screen dancing and it looked really kinky. She even took an umbrella and u can see the image on the screen.

Well thats bout it for my Friday night out =). I had quite some fun but it would have been much better if u ppl were here with me. And, dun worry bout me ok? Dun everyday ask me to be careful. Hee i know wad to do de. But still, thanks for caring. Haha...

Day 7: Groceries!

Today i didnt actually do much. Woke up in the morning and went online to chat for awhile. Then, the spore couple i met here sms me and told me that they were going to have lunch in the village and asked me whether i want to join them. Coincidently, i was on my way to the village for branch so i joined. Then, i realised that there is a food centre there! In the food centre, there are jap food, korean food, indian food, and also thai food. So, i tried the beef soup noodles coz i'd been craving for soup since i arrived here. To my surprise, the noodle was really nice! I think the stall owner is an authentic thai.

After havin my noodles, i headed down to the supermarket (superior) to buy groceries so i dun hav to eat out everyday. I had planned to call a cab after buying all my stuff coz there was no way i could carry them back to my home by myself. I bought all the food that i thought i would need and i reckon these supplies can last me for bout 10 days =)

When i went to bread section, i was quite shocked. All their breads were like in extra large sizes! I tried my best to find the smallest packet available and this is what i bought.

For those who cant visualise how big this loaf of bread is, it is about double the normal loaf of bread we usually buy in spore. And this was the smallest that i could find. I think i will hav to eat bread 2 meals a day to finish this loaf in 1 week. Ha...

In the supermarket i discovered they had this very cute express counter. Their express counter is different from spore in the sense that u hav to scan the items urself. After scannin u hav to put the item in the bag coz there is a sensor and it will hav to sense that there is an addition of the appropriate weight before it allows u to scan the next item. Then after paying, if ur change is only coins, then u can collect directly from that counter. If there are notes, there is another counter for the express counters which gives the change to the customers =) Interesting huh.

After buying all my stuff, i went outside to wait for my cab and while waitin, i saw a limo being driven in.

It was realli damn big lor. I started imaging how it would be to be driven around in a limosine in spore. Kaoz even Mr LKY also dun hav such treatment hor.... hee... So, my cabby arrived and guess wad... the car plate of my cabby v nice lor. 4d anyone?

And for all these things that i b.ought, it only costed me USD50. Not too bad la hor. Coz i tried my very best to get the cheapest available. In spore i was never like this de lor. Now i like auntie like tt. Wadever i buy i will look at the price first. Kaoz... Go back spore dunno whether will still be so auntie or not. Heehee...

And for those who cares, my poor little knee looks alittle worse today. Still painful but wont kill =)

Day 6: Shoppin!!!

Today = Money spending day. Hee sorry ar not that i wanted it to be like that. It's bo pian... Last night i slept quite early, like around 11 pm. So, i ended up waking up like 3 plus am in the morning. I tried to get back to sleep but then i just cant get to sleep so in the end, i gave up. I went online to chat for awhile. My goodest fren Peggy Teo and Nancy are already in coopenhagen! Im so envious of them coz they hav each other. Poor nancy lost her laptop in the airport. (curse and swear at the person who stole her laptop). But wadever the case, this shows that in a foreign land, really have to be very careful man.

After chatting, i went for a jog at 6 plus when the sky was bright le. I jogged pretty far today, about 45 mins. However, just when i was about to reach my apartment, i tripped and fell. Luckily my track pants wasnt torn. The bruise look like it is nothing but then in actual fact, it is quite pain lor!

In the morning i rode my bicycle to the village to get groceries =) Bought water, salt, oil, pancake mix, blablabla. Haiz i dunno when then i can finish buying what i need. Up to now i still need things like water boiler, iron board, iron, clothes hanger (to dry my clothes when i wash them coz they dun hav a place for me to dry my clothes de), cooking utensils, pans, pots... Kaoz nt tt i want to spend money. But then these things cannot dun buy man. But im holding on for the moment coz im thinking these things my room mate also need de so maybe we can pool together to get all these things and share so can save money!!

I had yoshinoya today for breakfast. I was starving coz i woke up at 430am but i ate only at 1030am. Their portion was realli huge and i couldnt finish it lor. But it costed like 8 bucks for this thing. SO EX LOR. I couldnt finish it but didnt want to waste it so after eating half of it i brought the other half back. Haha (I would never do this is spore but then since im here and my mission is to save when i can... I would have to do it )

(p.s. sometimes i realli dun understand y my face looks so bloated in pictures. Juz to inform everyone, i dun look tt fat in real life! I have not (and will not) transform into a hamburger).

After having branch and buying my stuff, i went back home to wash some clothes. Its realli irritating that there isnt anywhere that i can hang to dry my clothes so i had to hang it all over my house (imagine bras and panties on the chairs all over my apartment). After settling my household chores, i took a cab down to Macy's plaza (a shopping centre that had nth much) to buy my pillows and sheets. It was like only 10 mins and it costed me like 10 bucks. So ex lor.

Anyone want to buy 4d??? Hee win le muz distribute some to me hor. I reached the mall like around 345pm and i went to victoria secrets. Well actually they didnt had much nice stuff as compared to the net ley. Quite a disapointment. In the end instead of buying lingerie, i bought 2 lip glosses, one make up case (i loved it alot. Victoria secret make up case for 10 bucks only). That summed up to bout 30 bucks. With 30 bucks of purchase, i could buy the pink tote bag for only 10 bucks (inclusive of another lip gloss and an eye shimmer). Was really worth it. Anyway i needed a big bag coz i didnt bring any from spore and my bag like going to spoil le coz i always put too much things inside.

After victoria secrets it was like still very early (bout 430pm) so i went to the bookstore to look see look see. When i was standin outside the bookstore reading the synopsis of the books, this tall and black man came over to me and asked me whether i knew where the man's department was. Of course i didnt know la so i told im i didnt know and turned away. Then he said "actually i want to ask for your name." Then i was like... Erm... Freaked out. So he started asking me questions like am i schooling nearby, can we meet for lunch... and my number. I didnt dare to reject him flatly coz i was afraid he will think im rude then turn violent. So i asked him to giv me his no so i will give him a buzz when im free (which of course will never happen). Well he complimented that i was realli attractive and gorgeous. Ha...

Then i went to bookstore and stayed for like 45mins to find good romance books =) I got myself 3 of them for lik e 30 dollars.

Anyone interested in reading them? So, after buying my books, it was still early so i decided to go to coffeebean to hav some coffee and a muffin and to kick start readin my book.

After coffeebean, it was bout 6pm so i went into the department stall to buy my bedsheets and pillows. It was like takashimaysa so the things there arent cheap lor. But there was storewide discount (bout 50%) so nt tt bad. I roamed around to find the best deals available so i wont burst so much money. I bought 3 different pillows =) One to lie on, one to hug, and another to put by the wall so i can rest on it. Since i arrived here i havent had a good sleep. Every night i sleep only like 4 hrs and i always wake up at 5 or 6 am. So i decided that i need to get some good pillows if not i will really transform into a panda. The pillows they sell here all branded de lor. Ha got CK, Ralph Lauren, Tommyhilfighter... blablabla. Then i got 2 sets of bedsheets which include a pillow case, fitted sheet and flat sheet. Then of course i had to get extra pillow cases too. I aso got a blanket (not quilt). In tot it was like 200USD. Hee but after my stay here i will bring all of them back!!

Edgar was suppose to pick me up at 730 coz there was no way i could handle carrying the stuff myself. So while waiting for him i looked at some sneakers and guess wad... I bought myself 2 coach sneakers. Their coach here is placed together wif other shoes. I bought 2 same design but diff colour. Its onli like 116 USD for one. Bout half the price in spore. AND MUMMY, I USED MY OWN DEBIT CARD TO PAY FOR IT. Hee. juz in case mummy comes telling me to stop shopping coz she no money.

Nice and cool and cheap right? Any orders? Ha.. Wait till i come back k... Hee... I realli realli loved coz i'd always been a sucker for shoes de ma... =) So glad that its so cheap n nice. When edgar arrived, he helped me with all the FAT FAT bags.

Imagine if i had to carry them all by mysef... So we then went back to my apartment to put down the stuffs that i bought before heading out for dinner. Before we head off, we went to check out the pool room that is directly in front of my house. Well of course the condition of the table nt very good la but then better than nth la. And yes, that is Edgar in the picture =)

Inside Edgar's sister's car, on our way to Macdonald's. I wanted try the mac here and see if it is the same or not =)

Of course, it was differen la. I has an angus mushroom swiss which was quite good. But then veri big so cant finish =) The fries not very nice.. Spore one nicer. Edgar had a grill chicken burger.

So after tt hearty meal i headed home to pack and set my bed. Hopefully it would give me good night rests =) after some work...TA DA! No more sayin my bed looks like prison k =) Nice and comfy wif pipi the queen on top =)
